What do you mean? Jupiter doesnt really suffer much debility in Aquarius. Even if he did, it would most likely be due to that fact that he is the opposite Nature of that of Saturn whos House is Aquarius. This is said in all respect but I think you are too close to the native to accurately read them without putting your own experiential bias into the reading. This happens a lot when Astrologers read for people they are close to (or even themselves). Their views are biased by what they observe with th... Tom, Thank you for taking the time to look up the references I find them quite interesting. Something that caught my eye was the fact that Ptolemy & Morin, rather than using the extreme quality word, used a moderate word instead. For example, instead of using the term "Hot & Moist"... I have gone through my books to see if I can find what you state (Venus being moist and hot; the combination for temperateness) and I cant seem to find it. I do find that Gadburry states Venus is moist and... Forum: Nativities & General Astrology Topic: role of mars in marriage Replies: 23 Views: 19396 Thu Dec 27, 2007 12:12 am Jump to post

Im going to go out on a limb here and suggest that this may have some greek mythology influence in its meaning. For everyone who doesnt know Greek mythology I will attempt to illustrate the point of why Mars would be a bad influence in marriages. The myth goes that Venus was married to Haphaestus (b... Yikkes, I've noticed in some places that there are pre-natal charts. Yes these are Conceptional charts, cast at the moment of conception. The concept is as old (or claimed to be as old) as Ptolemy himself. These charts are used to predict any deformations or birth defects caused to the fetus and som... Occidental=West, Oriental=East. Anything to the West or Left to the Sun is considered Occidental because it is behind the Sun and thus rises after it and anything East or Right to the Sun is considered Oriental (up to 180 degrees) because it is placed after the Sun and thus has risen before it. I have written a page on my website which describes all the states of the Sun (and Planets in its influence). Hopefully this will help clarify and explain the states of Sol and the meaning of a Planet in Cazimi - http://www.antiquus-astrology.com/Chap2-14.html Forum: Nativities & General Astrology Topic: Cazimi-explanations please Replies: 4 Views: 10480 Wed Nov 14, 2007 8:46 am Jump to post
Yes, you are correct they are quite similar. The only difference is Directions are more specific (having degree & minute calculations, for instance 1 degree = 1 year and 1 minute = 6 days & etc.). They seemed to have removed the Solar Arc chart from Astro.com which was a great help for looki... Forum: Nativities & General Astrology Topic: For those you have experienced these transits... Directions are somewhat complicated due to the exactness of their calculation as they were also used to predict certain events down to the exact minute of their happening. However generally most directions are for 1 year = 1 degree movement of the Significator. Only the Hylegical points are used in ...
