Hello florentinus, It's really hard for me to understand why so many astrologers prefer to use the WHS which is against astronomical phenomena, reason and philosophy. WSH works! (at least through my own empirical observation of events). It is not against astronomical phenomenon (i.e. it doen't contr... Question of Station Planet Hello, I have a question concerning planets in station. When is it that a planet is considered station? Is it when it is at the degree where it makes its reversal regardless of the time it takes or is it restricted to time, e.g. within 2 days of its reversal or is it a combination of both or what? T... Commanding Signs = northern signs or sig long ascension Hello, Are the commanding signs equal to northern signs or signs of long ascension? The way I understand Ptolemy, commanding signs equal northern signs (and obedient signs equal southern signs) but I have seen in some places on the net that commanding signs equal signs of long ascension! Thank you! Forum: Traditional (& Ancient) Techniques Topic: Commanding Signs = northern signs or sig long ascension Replies: 2 Views: 4656 Mon Sep 20, 2010 4:18 am Jump to post
Hello, Thank you Tanit! Just a query: When you say that the number of aspects to Sun/Moon as indicators of number of marriages, do you mean applying aspects or both applying and separating? Jupiter vs. Mercury Hello, I have read in many places i.e. in books and even here in different posts, that one of the favorite meanings of Jupiter is expansion. Is this because Jupiter = hot + moist where both qualities expand things? If this is true, this meaning could only appear following the association of qualitie... Venus vs. Mercury or Desire vs. Reason. Hello, The Chaldean order of the seven traditional planets place Venus which signifies desire above Mercury which signifies reason. However, the ancient philosophers and occultists would have placed reason above desire. Could anyone enlighten me on this? Thank you in advanced. The Book "Under one Sky" Hello, I am thinking of getting the book "Under One Sky", editor Jodie Forrest where 12 astrologers from various traditions blind read a chart. Has anyone read this book? Comments please! (before I get it myself - it's not cheap to get books transported to my country!). Thank you in advance! Lot of Children in Mathesis Hello, I read the following from Firmicus Maternus' Matheseos, Liber Sextus, Chapter XXXII, numbers 33-35: 33. Venus and Mercury always show the house of children. Whichever of them is first in the chart, beginning from that one, count to the other. Then, beginning from the ascendant, distribute the... Hello, Thank you GR for the response. I do not have the original language that Pingree translated - only his English translation. Pingree did mention in his "Index of Subjects and Definitions" that Bk II chapters 20-33 refer to the Planetary Positions, whereas Prorogations are Bk III, Revo...
