aspects in the solar return When I first started out with modern astrology, one thing that was continuously taught about solar returns was that: applying aspects = future events, separating aspects = past events. For some reason, while I have tossed out most of the other stuff I learned about solar returns from modern astrolog... anybody experience saturn in the 12th house? I keep seeing this placement pop up in solar return charts that I am reading and I have no idea how to interpret it. Additionally many sources say mixed things about it, some sources say that saturn in the 12th house is a good thing (because it weakens hidden enemies), other sources say that saturn ... It is unsurprising, actually. If you read the article "Facets of Fate" by Robert Schmidt, you'll see that he mentioned at least four houses (iirc) in connection with foreign travel: 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th. Similarly, for the topic of children, there are several houses, namely: 4th, 5th, 1... Hi, Actually, the 7th is treated as the destination of foreign travel in al-Kindi and Hephaistion of Thebes, both of whom would have gotten it from Dorotheus (Carmen V.21), so you are in good company in seeing it in a chart! The idea is that the Ascendant represents home, while the 7th is as far aw... Hi Neptunehead, I think a lot depends on where you are locating the psychology. Traditionally, one would start to look at the rising sign, and at its lord--this should give you a good clue. I would not look at the Sun sign for this. So if the rising sign is Scorpio, that says one thing. It is ruled... 7th house and foreign travel has anybody personally observed the 7th house having some sort of connection to foreign travel? I mean I don't doubt that the concept is valid at all, I guess its just hard for me to accept foreign travel being in the domain of the 7th house after having accepted foreign travel as a 9th house matter... Well, I'm almost exactly two years late to this thread, but I will throw in my 2 cents. According to the information available on skyscript regarding aquarius: http://www.skyscript.co.uk/aquarius.html The tendency towards 'detachment' runs like a thread through many of this sign's notable characteri... Hi Martin, I tried to find a paragraph in Tetrabiblos which would mention anything related to combustion, but couldn't find any. Is it in Tetrabiblos? Would you care to point to the book number and/or paragraph number? Yes, the passage I was thinking of (I'm sure there are others) is in the Tetrabi...
