Tom, good morning! Communication was with us long before we were aware of Uranus. So was letter writing. To argue that electronic letter writing is Uranus and paper letter writing is Mercury is to split hairs unnecessarily, i.e., Ocam's razor. The technology that accomplishes this is secondary. Compu... I assume you're speaking of elections, as in electing a time to emigrate. Since the outer planets are regarded, protestations to the contrary notwithstanding, as a pretty malefic lot (When was the last time you heard someone say "Oh good I'm having a Uranus transit!"), why would you want ... :-| Traditional astrology reflects reality quite nicely Tom, I 've been to New Jersey last Fall, indeed there are locations that encourage one to think that all these stories of Rapidly Changing World are just much ado about nothing :-T Let me give just one example. When I ,living in Soviet Union in... Forum: Traditional (& Ancient) Techniques Topic: Does unburied Tradition pull Modern astrology back? Hi,Tom! Thank you for the comprehensive answers. My stand on astrological tradition is that it ought to be carefully explored and reformulated in terms of our reality . As symbolic language astrology is highly context -sensitive. Thus, a new context requires new interpretations. Agree? sincerely, Bo... Astrology is astrology regardless of which method we are practicing at the moment. A sound basis in horary is, in my opinion, a prerequisite for a sound basis in natal astrology. Medicine is medicine, but sound basis in acupuncture would hardly help you in doing surgery :-T A lack of accurate birth... Hi,Tom! I don't think it is possible to achieve in horary astrology the level that Lilly achieved and remain poor in natal or any other type of astrology In fact horary and natal specializations very rarely go together. Given the reliability of birthtimes in 17th century was quite low, it's natural ... Forum: Traditional (& Ancient) Techniques Topic: Does unburied Tradition pull Modern astrology back? Thank you, Tom! Ok, Rob Schmidt changed his mind :-? . Hope this has nothing to do with the following: :-sk Ellen Black supplied the initial funding necessary to obtain equipment and texts. The translations were published by The Golden Hind Press. As owners of the press, Robert Schmidt and Ellen Bla... Hi Tom! He thinks much of what ancient Greeks thought is not really relevant to 21st century Western society. I wonder if he managed to demonstrate how precisely outdated concepts of Greeks had modified their astrological procedures. And what are these procedures and techniques we should get rid of?... Hi, Kirk and Queen! [ If for nothing else I think at the very least we must respect them as Euro 2004 football champions! Does unburied Tradition pull Modern astrology back? I am curious about the current ARHAT and Robert Schmidt's activities. Recently I came across this statement by Robert Schmidt: "... our intention is to rid ourselves of the burden of the Greeks. It is very hard to get free of the Greeks. It is very hard to do that scientifically, mathematically... Forum: Traditional (& Ancient) Techniques Topic: Does unburied Tradition pull Modern astrology back?
