Semen Morbificum: the Seed of The Disease The Semen Morbificum is a traditional term describing the "seed of the illness." In disease, we have causes of illness (usually one cause, although more than one cause can be considered at times) and effects of illness. The cause of the illness is often found at a distance in the body from... Decumbiture: Allergic Reaction http://imageshack.com/a/img924/6875/WiADHf.png This is a recent decumbiture I think is interesting because it touches on a subject that is very modern. As far as we can tell, allergies were not accounted for in traditional medicine. Even modern medicine can't seem to explain the origin of allergies ... Decumbitures Used With Natal Charts I'm pretty sure some physicians were using decumbiture charts alongside natal charts for comparison. Is anyone aware of source materials that describe exactly what the doctor was looking for on the natal chart? I'm hoping to post a decmbiture and natal chart together soon, and I wonder what we might... Hi, Waybread Decumbiture is traditional by definition, so I'm not sure how to translate this system to modern techniques or planets. Also, I don't consider myself a brilliant natal astrologer, although your explorations sound intriguing. I do know that some traditional physicians used natal charts f... Good call! The patient has been diagnosed with hypercalemia, hyperparathyroidism and osteoporosis. She was treated in the past with a partial paratyroidectomy, but the blood calcium levels are back up again last I heard. She says she is due to have a DEXA scan next week. I will see if she can give u... Forum: Horary & Electional Astrology Topic: Decumbiture: Gout, or Pseudogout? Replies: 6 Views: 4157 Fri Nov 03, 2017 10:46 am Jump to post
Hi, Waybread! Thanks for your response! I think the chart tends to bear out your theory that both causes may be involved, because Pisces on the cusp of the twelfth and Saturn, Lord of the hour squaring Mars, the Lord of the ascendant are both found in double-bodied signs, signalling dual conditions.... Decumbiture: Gout, or Pseudogout? http://imageshack.com/a/img922/8002/fjtQQY.jpg I am hoping this image posts--wish me luck! Gout is a good traditional disease. Considered a sign of longevity, it is known as an "old person's" disease. With increased age comes the increased chance of getting gout. As our population ages, th... Thanks for your insights, pankajdubey. I have heard at least one practicing astrologer claim that parivartan yoga is solely a Jamini technique, but your thoughts have me re-thinking that claim now. Perhaps I need to start a thread on "which techniques are Jaimini, according to what source?"... Forum: Indian and Asian astrology Topic: Double Planetary Wars? Thank you for your efforts, Pankajdubey! That's quite an eye-opener. I did not realize it was possible to use multiple planets as dara karakas. Unfortunately, although it answers my question about exceptions to assigning dara karakas, it still leaves me in somewhat of a muddle concerning my own char... Thank you for your response, pankajdubey. Yes, this is the interpretation by KN Rao I was reviewing. I'm still not sure, however, how to handle two planetary wars in one chart. If there is an example here, I'm afraid I missed it. It is my understanding that Rahu gets substituted for one of the plane... Forum: Indian and Asian astrology Topic: Double Planetary Wars? Double Planetary Wars? Jaimini Chara Karakas Namaste, Students of the Light! I'm looking at Parashara and Jaimini systems at the present to establish which is more helpful to me when studying my chart. Obviously, I'm a beginner with Indian astrology. At this time, I am interested primarily in developing spiritual consciousness rather than perf... Forum: Indian and Asian astrology Topic: Double Planetary Wars?
