To judge or not?

I am not sure if I was doing this right before and have gone astray now, or the other way around.

Before I attempt to judge, I first see where the ascendant falls. If past 5 degrees and less than 25 degrees, I go on. Then, I look to house 7. If it is good condition, then I go on. Third, I look for the applying aspect. If there is an aspect applying then i continue again. So far, those are the only steps I have taken, but recently I found a horary I wasn;t sure about.

The ascendant was in good position, house 7 in good condition but there were no aspects between querent and significator. The reason I am stuck though is because:
-Ruler of asc is mars & Ruler of hour is mars
-Mars is both ruler of asc and ruler of 6th (the question is about illness)
-Mars is in his house (8th)
-Moon is ruled by saturn and his own triplicity, but under term and face of mars
-The most dignified planet at the degree of the asc is mars, by rulership but also by triplicity, term and face.
-Also, the moon is headed for a course of sextile Jupiter, so is not void of course.

With all these things in common, it seems relevant to me to see what it all means but with no applying aspect between moon(as querent) and mars (as illness) I am hesitating. Any advice?

You don?t need an application between the two main significators to have a descriptive and useful horary. In fact lack of application in this kind of chart may show there is nothing to worry about, whilst the Moon?s positive application to Jupiter usually indicates a return to health.

But everything in the chart is descriptive and can provide an answer to whatever you are asking if you are prepared to look deep enough, and keep probing the chart until it all makes sense. However, if you have a sense of hesitation, leave it. You can?t make a good horary judgement unless you feel fully committed, and comfortable, exploring it. Especially in charts of this nature.

BTW, the usual consideration before judgement is to be wary of ascendants that are less than 3 degrees into the sign or more than 27 degrees.

Dear deb,

Thank you soo much. I appreciate that you answered my question near exact. I mostly appreciate that you understood it:) (I was thinking that I don't express myself well enough)

My hesitation simply sent me to the doctor. (Probably something I should have done anyway) Turns out, I am very ill-- cancer. But the good thing is, I caught it early. Chances are, I will recover fully without any major whatever.

Thing is, if I didn;t hesitate, I may have not gone to doctor for something so simple.

The question was: Do I have aids? I have has some pretty extreeme symptoms and a pretty crazy past as well. In retrospect, The sextile toward jupiter shows not only a chance of recovery but also of inflamation (in the 2 house of the throat -- lymph nodes)

Anyway, much appreciated!!!!!! This makes much sence and I have learned something of astrology as well:)))))

P.S. I'll be fine, and not loose my hair or anything:) Chances for recovery are VERY high:) Also, cancer is kinda' promised in my natal chart as well and so this was not a complete surprise! I was just asking the wrong question. The chart (in retrospect) really did tell all:)

Take care:) ~ Borealis[/quote]

However it got you to the doctors was a good thing. My aunt was diagnosed with 3rd degree cancer recently, and she was told that although that?s quite serious, the chances of discovering cancer at an early stage are very remote. It sounds like you were lucky in that respect.

Here?s to you ? I hope your treatment goes well!
