FA Cup Semi-final 1 by Ficina Hi footy fans and all We have previously discussed deciding which team is assigned to the Asc and which to the Desc, particularly when a match is played on neutral ground. Should the favourite (according to the bookies' odds) get the Asc or should it be the team that kicks off (i.e. initiates the game). Yesterday's semi-final chart was interesting in this respect. Chelsea v Liverpool 5.15pm BST 22 Apr 2006 Manchester, England I won't go into all the details but merely comment on S Node conj the Asc, which really stands out. The Asc team are very unlikely to win. Chelsea were the favourites, yet Liverpool kicked off. Result? Liverpool won 2-1. This is a point in favour of assigning the Asc to the favourite. OK, I know it's only one chart but rather than discussing theories it's good to have a practical example occasionally. Brilliant match by the way, I was exhausted by the end of it! 2 by Sue Brilliant match by the way, I was exhausted by the end of it! You played? I don't have time at the moment to look at this chart properly but I did take a very quick peek. I see Mars, ruler of the 7th, is on the MC too. But I would not be inclined to reject the 1st house team simply because of one configuration in the chart. I realise this is not quite what you are saying and the south node sitting on the ascendant certainly is waiting to be noticed. I really don't have a definitive answer to this issue and remain undecided. I can see a possible case for giving the home team the ascendant but I'm not so sure about the favourites. But, as I said, I am yet to be convinced either way. Quote Sun Apr 23, 2006 8:50 pm
