I live in the sf bay area and the morning sky was yellow due to smoke from a raging wildfire in wine country north of here. It's the second fire in 2 weeks and only 3% contained at this point. The first was rather bad, 1 death and several homes destroyed.

Good point. In general, I would worry about natural disasters with the nodes because they seem to be pretty sensitive points on a mundane level. I am in the east bay. I was telling some people a few weeks ago that I wouldn't be surprised if some bad fires happen this summer, but that is fairly common now with climate change and so many areas of dry land.
