Horary challenge: will this dress I bought online fit? 1 by AmeliaS I'd leave the challenge on until Friday (8 January) and then come back with the outcome. Since this is no longer an issue you're welcome to just read! I bought an occasion dress online and was worried. It was Christmas sale but it didn't exactly come at sale-price. I'd recently shredded a few pounds, but it was my first time trying on size 36/US 4. I'm a giraffe among Asian girls, and apparently none of my friends thought that such a small dress would fit. Note the early ascendant. I asked at the wrong time - right after making the purchase. Should've asked beforehand. Hour Lord is Sun, so no agreement, but he is in an apt house, the seller's possession. The dress is one-piece, knee-length, dull pink, elegant, with detail at the sleeves. Edit to add Chart info: December 8, 2020, 14:40 Incheon, Korea My recent discussion with you on Moon-Venus aspects inspired me to share this. 2 by Wisdom Joy I'm going to definitely be providing my insight to this, I just want to do a bit of research first Thank you! WJ Quote Mon Jan 04, 2021 5:38 am
3 by Ouranos Hello Amelia, I am willing to meet the challenge! Early ASC, Saturn in the 7th - My judgment might be wrong! Your ruler Venus, although in Detriment in Scorpio is also in the Triplicity and Face of Venus and is strong by House (Angular), Direction, Speed and is Free of Sun Beams) averaging a score of +11 according to Lilly's table. The 2nd House (your purchase) in Gemini with Mercury in Detriment in the 8th, oriental and Combust the Sun shows the concern about being left in the shadow with the item and gets a score of -14 according to Lilly's table. And there is no aspect between Mercury and Venus. The Moon in Virgo in the sixth applies to a nice sextile to Venus (natural ruler of dresses and L1) and tells me that the size (Virgo) should fit you nicely. Venus in detriment would point to the 'occasion' dress as you mentioned, not a new item. And the Moon rules the 4th (end-of-the matter) with its last aspect to Saturn 29 degree in Cap ruling the 10th of success. Nothing can be changed, everything is good! Cheers! Ouranos Blessings! 4 by Wisdom Joy My judgment is that the dress worked out but you might have to alter it in some capacity. The Moon Venus aspect really ended up being positive for you. My analysis isn't the best but here is what I got from it: (+) - The beautiful Moon and Venus trine, I would look at Moon as the engine and the fact that it fits and it's approaching you tells me that in the end it works out - Venus is sitting in an angular house - NN is in 2nd house (-) - L8 is Jupiter and in detriment, that tells me that something might be wrong with the terms or the conditions with which you bought it. Is there a no refund policy? Also that might explain why moon is in L7? - Sun/ Mercury combustion, since mercury is the purchase and the sun rules the sellers co-sig, this shows the risk that you're taking - Moon has no dignity and Venus is in detriment Thank you! 5 by AmeliaS The dress fit like bespoke. And boy was it beautiful - I fell in love with every detail of it. It actually arrived the next day, exactly when the sextile said it would. So WJ you were close, and Ouranos, you got everything right, except the dress is not second-hand. It’s new. I worked the chart much like Ouranos did, just even more optimistic than you were. That is, I thought any detriment would have been mitigated by Venus’ strength by triplicity plus term plus her angularity, and the well-received sextile, too. So, not the slightest reason for dissatisfaction. But I didn’t pick a house for the dress, didn’t think I needed to. I was thinking of what Bonatti said: “If the lord of the Ascendant, or the Moon, is not joined to the lord of the house of substance or of the matter sought for, nor to any planet which is in that house, then you should see to which of the planets the lord of the Ascendant, or the Moon, is being joined; because if any of these is being joined to a well-disposed fortune which is not impeded, or it is in an angle, nor is the fortune being joined to another planet, nor another planet to it which it receives, or which commits its own disposition to it, the querent will acquire the substance, or the matter sought for will be perfected. …??? (Liber Astronomiae, Part 4, trans Robert Hand, pp 42-3) Bonatti here was referring to a specific scenario, namely there is no aspect between the main sigs. But it would seem logical to deduce from what he said, a good aspect from Moon to a well-placed fortune is one good testimony in itself. (Bonatti allows the Moon’s next aspect to co-signify the Quesited, here we may also note). That is, unless the moon or the fortune represents conflicting interests or afflicted beyond help. Whether Venus rules the ascendant, therefore, wasn’t a major consideration for me. Marvellous she does, though, makes the judgment so much simpler. Thank you both for pitching in! 6 by Ouranos Glad to hear the dress fits you like a glove and that you are happy with it! And you picked up the right designer with Bonatti before entering the catwalk. On a side note, I also cast the chart of your question in Sidereal (Krisnamurthi) and the sextile Moon-Venus is even more striking. And it is not the first time I see that happening. I am considering more and more switching to Sidereal. Venus in Libra, even stronger (dull pink, elegant, with detail at the sleeves) ruling the 2nd House (your item) and sextiling the Moon in Leo! Congrats! Ouranos Blessings! Quote Sat Jan 09, 2021 3:45 am
7 by AmeliaS Thanks, Ouranos. Your discovery prompted me to recast a couple of my other charts in Sidereal. One mildly promising chart in tropical becomes much stronger in sidereal. The outcome I'll find out later. Ouranos wrote:And you picked up the right designer with Bonatti before entering the catwalk. HAHA thanks for the chuckle! Quote Sat Jan 09, 2021 8:50 am

The moon Venus connection is definitely powerful. Do you have any other charts you can add for some analysis? I have two or three that I can add to the site but I wondered if anyone else had any as well. Thank you! WJ Quote Sun Jan 10, 2021 7:12 pm
9 by AmeliaS http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10952 I have this love thread I put up. These two were married to others when they first met. They haven't seen each other for over a year due to Covid, so whatever they have, I believe it is only platonic. The chart was some months ago. What I know is they still text, for hours, if only occasionally. Been doing this for over a year and a half... so not a passing fancy. The conversation sounds mostly playful and "artistic". There is light flirting. That sounds like Moon and Venus to me. Both planets are in Venus conjunct Algol... which is said to be a sign of being irrational but also head over heels in love in a romance chart. I wouldn't know how both feel. The Querent seems besotted. Moon-Venus conjunction is a classic symbol for romance (and artistic partnership). I shouldn't have troubled myself (and the forum) with who exactly Moon is. It sometimes doesn't matter when we have a configuration like this one and the rest of the chart does not oppose it. Looking back now, that Jupiter could rule the quarantine arrangement and the resulting extra expenses (house 2) they will have to afford if they want to meet in person again soon. Venus is in the 7th, but Moon is in the 7th too and they have the strongest mutual reception there is. The Quesited does not reach out too often, but both, the Querent feels, are committed to keep the special bond on. Amelia Quote Mon Jan 11, 2021 2:12 am

I believe we discussed this chart, excited to look at it again. I'm not sure if you're interested in this one, you provided analysis on it: https://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/s ... p?t=133710 I have an interesting update. After this, I blocked her and she once again followed me from a new business account. This time she wasn't trying to conceal the connection to her. Although her name is not associated with the account, she follows it and vice versa. I knew it was her because she explained to me over a year ago that she was setting it up. I decided to leave her there where I was able to keep tabs on her. The paranoia was getting to me. Fast forward a couple days ago and I had a tweet go viral and this prompted her to find me on twitter and follow me on twitter now from her personal account. I sometimes post my tweets on my instagram, so she likely knew my handle already, but I think in the commotion of the tweet going viral it was her opportunity to follow me thinking that I would miss it. She still makes me super anxious and uncomfortable, but I don't want to block her and have her once again create a fake account (especially with twitter, it's harder to track). There's days when I'm just agitated because I feel suffocated by her and my ex both keeping up to date with me so frequently. Anyway, long story short, I fundamentally changed the way I interact online, especially with anything associated with getting paid because I don't trust that she won't get me fired from somewhere. Someone in passing commented that I don't post anything too personal anymore. So, as it stands now she never moved on, and I ended up changing the way I engage out of sheer desperation. And now we're half way through January 2021. Thank you! WJ Quote Mon Jan 11, 2021 3:34 am
11 by Ouranos Oh my, I'm so intrigued, can you share more about your experience with Sidereel? I'm going to try it. Wisdom Joy, No big deal but casting the chart in sidereal gives a much clearer answer to Amelia's question. You find Venus in Libra, becoming L2 (the item bought) even more dignified and describing her dress (one-piece, knee-length, dull pink, elegant, with detail at the sleeves.) better than a Venus in Scorpio. And with traditional rulership, the next and last aspect the Moon does is a sextile to Venus. Not a scientific investigation, just noticing what's there. Ouranos Blessings! Horary Challenge 12 by delaforge Ouranos: I noted the same with the sidereal chart. Also, Mars, L1 siderally, aspects Venus, L2, by his eighth aspect, making a connection between the two relevant Lords and pointing to a 'yes' answer to the question. They also form a minor aspect, 150 degrees. I've seen Vedic horary charts where a semi-sexitle has been taken as a valid connection between key planets. De la Forge Quote Wed Jan 13, 2021 10:48 am
