I can use every bit of hope for the future, that I can find...

Mars/Jupiter definitely points to potential success. Jupiter/Uranus points also to positive success and hopefully, a "different wisdom" where people realize when chains are being placed upon them, without it having to be literal chains before they wake up.

In order to bring this back around to being more astrological, might I ask which technique you use (other than planetary pictures with high-ordered harmonics) that you find amazingly useful, yet are surprised that you yourself adopted it/them?

Your casual reference to t Vp / Sun has already been a "mind-blower" when testing it in my personal charts.

Techniques that I find very useful :

1) Lunar Phases :

a- for natal astrology : each lunar phase shows as transit what will happen till the next lunar phase for the horoscope owners.
b- for mundane astrology : shows each lunar phase as radix what will happen till the next lunar phase in a place. To find exact time of event one has to study progressions (secondary, tertiary ,minor and converse ) to radix (lunar phase) with higher harmonics.

2) Progressed Lunar Phases : Calculations of progressions (also above) must be done with sidereal keys not with tropical.

3) Planet Returns : as transit and as stand-alone horoscopes with higher harmonics.

Jupiter return : for the happy events and for the father.
Venus Return : For the wife and husband, for the partner, for the mother, daughter, sister.
Mercury Return : For the son and brother. And generally for the children.
Saturn Return : For the sickness and death.
