Everything goes retrograde except the Sun and Moon. It's a perspective thing between any three bodies in motion. The Moon can't go retro because it orbits us, and the Sun can't go retro because we orbit it.

Alex

I have found your last post on Covid Turns Two with a combination of several asteroids, TNOs and Centaur Chiron to be interesting, especially with the retrograde and direct motion.

On your website you say about Eris
"Astrologically, Eris represents strife, discord, discontent, fractiousness, quarreling, squabbling, and divisiveness. She stands for populations which consider themselves disrespected, slighted, marginalized, affronted, forgotten or injured"
We all know that Earth is a peaceful place to live :) . So let's say we look at the upcoming Sun square Eris this month. Are there any specific asteroids, TNOs or any jolly members of the same family you would focus on to better qualify the merry go round we can expect.

Thank yu,
Ouranos
Blessings!

Ouranos, I wouldn't expect any particular major problem on the Sun/Eris square date itself; the transit is too brief. More like rubbing a tongue over a sore tooth - it'll smart, but it won't fall out. That said, it could spark issues for people with strong connections to those degrees, or a PNA in play (which, of course I can't tell you in advance, with 22,000 candidates).

I do note that Pluto is also involved (conj the Sun), which rules criminality, and the Sun spotlights, while Eris rules disaffected persons, so perhaps there will be some major development in the January 6th commission? Achilles is also with Eris, representing a weakness or vulnerability, which may be exposed, and Nemesis is with the Sun, so there's some degree of accountability or retribution involved. Narcissus is on the fulcrum of a t-square, so self-absorbed, egotistical people are at risk. No idea who that could refer to. :D

Playing in the Snow

Thought I'd take a quick look at the bizarre 24+ hour, 50-mile backup on I-95 in Stafford County VA on Monday. An accident in snow and icy conditions ultimately kept thousands of cars stranded more than a day before the road was cleared.

Setting the stage is a Sun conjunct Nemesis (adversary, block to progress) t-squared Snowdonia and Storm, with a Sturm/Schneeweiss opposition also in effect (German for 'storm' and 'white snow'). Mercury (ruling cars and traffic, with some weather implications) is conjunct Pluto (devastating outcomes) and NOT (a general indicator of stoppage or inability to proceed) in a Grand Cross with Virginia and Stafford (state and county) and Winters. With Stafford is Still, which squares Uranus with Automedon, at station that day. So, an accident (Uranus) which stops (Still) cars (Automedon) in Stafford County (Stafford). Automedon and Still are also in a Thor's Hammer (a fated pattern similar to a Yod) with Stucky. And Stucky is in a t-square with d'Arrest (another indicator of cessation or halting) and Neptune (victims in need of rescue).

Just another day at the office...

:D

One of today's discoveries:

Other than Lust, Brad Pitt also has Walter, James, Troy and Tyler conjunct the Ascendant. He happens to be managed by Walter Schupfer. Roy, Tyler and James are names of characters he played in movies.

He has asteroids Oskar and Clifford conjunct Moon, Venus and Mercury, widely conjunct Mars and South Node. He has Booth conjunct North Node. He received the Oscar for his role of stuntman Cliff Booth in 2020, when Jupiter was transiting over his natal Mercury and Clifford, approaching a conjunction with his natal Oskar.

Cool beans, Anna!

Brad also had transit Bradpitt conjunct Oskar, squared the Sun with asteroid Academia (for the Academy), when he won. Here's an excerpt of a piece I did at the time, when the nominations were announced:

"Also in the Best Supporting Actor category is Brad Pitt, nominated for his portrayal of Cliff Booth in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood???, whose eponymous asteroid Bradpitt squares the Sun from 17 Scorpio, where it conjoins asteroid Oskar at 16 Scorpio, and broadly conjoins the IC at 8 Scorpio. This could give Pitt the juice he needs for that elusive Oscar."

and here's from my follow-up article, after he won, with the natal chart included:

"Born 18 December 1963 at 6:31 AM CST in Shawnee, Oklahoma (Rodden Rating A), Brad’s eponymous asteroid Bradpitt at 21 Sagittarius conjoins his 25 Sag Sun, which is in a Grand Cross, opposing asteroid Actor at 16 Gemini (also conjoined the 11 Gemini Descendant) and squared asteroid Academia at 18 Virgo (which conjoins the Uranus/Pluto conjunction at 10 and 14 Virgo) and asteroid Nike at 14 Pisces, named for the Greek goddess of victory. That singles out Brad Pitt (Sun, Bradpitt) as a potential winner (Nike) of an Academy Award (Academia) for acting (Actor), all right. And with transit Oskar an exact match for natal Neptune at 16 Scorpio, planetary ruler of film, also exactly inconjunct natal Actor at 16 Gemini, the timing was right for him to receive recognition.

"But why this role? Brad’s character was Cliff Booth; natal asteroid Clifford at 19 Capricorn conjoins asteroid Oskar at 22 Cap, and is part of a powerhouse stellium including Mars, Mercury, the Moon and Venus, at 10, 16, 22 and 23 Capricorn. Saturn and Pluto had both transited this group in recent years, with their exact conjunction at 22 Cap a month prior to the awards falling exactly on natal Oskar/Moon. Clifford/Oskar also opposes asteroids Booth and Bradley at 13 and 14 Cancer, binding both names of his Oscar-winning role with his full middle name (used as a first name for acting; his given first name is William), allowing him to identify personally with the role and provide an authentic performance. Transit Jupiter at 15 Capricorn added its propensity for positive outcomes, expansion, publicity and celebrity to this mix, putting Brad over the top.
"

It's common to find PNAs prominent in actors' charts for roles that define them, or win awards. It's less common for me to pick a winner.

Good job Alex! I'm a bit late with my discoveries :D

I am pondering whether and when Michio Kaku will get the Nobel Prize. He has Nobel conjunct his North Node and MC at 14 Gemini. Late 2024 Jupiter will transit over it BUT at the same time Saturn will square it... Any thoughts?

I did some research:

EInstein got his Nobel prize when Nobel transited over his natal Einstein

Bohr: when Nobel transited over his natal POF

Pauli: Nobel was conjunct his Lunar Return MC, conjunct his natal Nobel

Heisenberg: transiting Nobel was conjunct his natal Heisenberg

Schrödinger: transiting Nobel was conjunct Jupiter and POF in his Solar Return
+ transiting Nobel conjunct natal Schrödinger

De Broglie: transiting Nobel and Venus were conjunct his natal Nobel

Marquez: transiting Nobel was conjunct natal Pallas Athena

That's impressive, Anna! 2024 looks like a good shot for Kaku to me - Saturn sometimes restricts or delays, true, but it can also provide success and career recognition, if the work is done beforehand. And with Jupiter pushing his reputation at the time, that looks solid. Of course, we have no idea who will be nominated, and what competition that might create.

I had excellent transits for winning an Oscar in 2018, but unfortunately, I failed to make a film. :lala
