in thinking about this a lot, the astrology to fall back on this is complicated to establish.. i too favour a consideration of the jupiter-saturn cycle, and the large planetary combinations - the most recent being the jupiter-saturn - pluto.... i also believe their is value in considering the most recent mars-saturn conjunction which i made a post on a month or two back...

ouranos highlighted back in maybe feb, the cluster of planets in a very narrow band - 90 degrees or so... i believe andre barbault also highlighted this in his work as being a cause for concern, such as an outbreak of war... excluding the outers - neptune and uranus, this is what we had in late february..

my thinking is we are moving from a unipolar to a multipolar world... of course the powers within the system of the unipolar world are most resistant to a change in this power set up.. the usa as leader of the unipolar world is in a challenged place here as i see it.. china is in the ascendancy and russia working with china has been seen as a worse case scenario by people like krissinger and brzezinski in the recent past...

so, essentially we are in a different paradigm here where there is a lot at stake... i can't see things winding down here... in fact, things seem to be ramping up..

unfortunately i am super busy and am unable to provide more substance to this post, but i wanted to lay out my position and i hope to come back and comment on it with some astro... i think a broad understanding of what is at work here is necessary and it won't be gotten in the echo chambers of the western msm...

just a quick thought on this,I think Putin is the key,I noticed the previous progressed sun/moon conjunction in his natal chart occurred 1993 in his 1st house in scorpio as transiting Pluto stationed here in the pisces decan he witness the dissolving of the Soviet Union & the formation in his mind at this time becomes evident in his 2005 Kremlin speech characterized the collapse of the Soviet Union as the "greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the Twentieth Century. Putin elaborated, "Moreover, the epidemic of disintegration infected Russia itself."
So now Putins chart is showing a closing cycle as the progressed moon closes this cycle in the second house of values, He is trying to reinstate the values which he sees Russia and the world as needing without which the world has no value & this is his mission as he sees it /Sun.
Interestingly the progressed moon approached the degrees of Mars first visibility in late December 2021 as he invaded Ukraine & if we take a Bija moon into account will hit Antares in early Autumn just as his Solar Arc Pluto
hits his Ascendant exactly Pluto still being one of his profected rulers until October.

I can't help feeling that your topic, the way you presented it, is an epitome of negative thinking. As much as the whole world is concerned with what's going down in the Ukraine, fighting is still localized, and let's pray or visualize that it will stay that way and hopefully come to a hold, eventually...

Perhaps your aim is to raise awareness, which can be a good thing, but there's a narrow line between that and painting a gloomy picture which (if shared by a sufficient number of people) might turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy. A line that your topic crosses by its very header, I am afraid.

What is going to happen to humanity is subject to our free will, which operates at every level, from the individual to the collective, and at every moment, in my view. The future is not set in stone; astrology at its best recognizes potentials both for good and evil. Awareness and wisdom are the key factors determining what kind of reality we are going to create, and as publishing astrologers, we are in a position to elevate consciousness (to whatever small degree) towards a more desirable outcome overall.

thanks for your comments.. i think putins chart is important, if we knew with certainty the time of his birth.. astrodatabank rates putin data DD... we have a number of astrologers who have high confidence in a number of different charts too! i think any of the leaders charts are an important consideration in all of this - not just putins, although the msm is obsessed about putin, so i understand the attraction for understanding putins chart in particular..

thanks for the link to the video on bija from david cochrane.. i watched it and enjoyed it... i moved away from using secondary progressions - a techinque that placidus came up with because he was unhappy with using profections) a few hundred years ago.. i used to use them when i first started out in astrology.. i think they have merit, but i am more attracted to some of the other predictive tools to choose from in astrology - solar arc directions, primary directions, minor progressions, tertiary progs and profections in combo with them all... actually i really like using solar returns at present... i was doing a study on birth location verses relocated charts and i am coming to the conclusion the birth location charts are more informative..

regarding your question - 'do you feel the tide of energy has receded?' hard to say.. it is very subjective... i think there has been a change since the new moon - yes.. thanks for your input!

Hi James I think all astrologers become very unique & special as we each develop through experience our predictive systems. The babylonians even used omens in the sky. To link these themes with the eclipses I will share an experience.
In 2017 the eclipse over regulus fell in my 12th house. where natal pluto sat, part of a mutable grand cross the eclipse fell very close to this point & I decided to use the energy to free myself of oppressive bondage.
Both myself & partner decided to formulate in writing our intentions but I knew it would need to be when the crescent would appear but at what point would the energy be right ? We both knew a sign would appear so we waited.
3 days after the eclipse my partner looked out of the window & said start now
we have the sign. There appeared in the sky a circle with a cross inside shaped from clouds which I still have a photo of this event. At the close of the ritual a rainbow appeared in the distance & travelled forward to where we were. 18 months after this on a full moon on the same eclipse degree we were freed of our oppressive circumstance.

A distant friend of mine, who uses both zodiacs would describe the sidereal zodiac as a path to the 'astral body' as described by Rudolf Steiner in these terms “universal astral organism, which weaves through the cosmos???. It is also linked to the solar plexus chakra linked to emotions and will purpose.

What you describe Zosma seems to be of this nature and this is a good approach to look at the Constellations and the Heliacal Rising Stars.

ouranos - thanks for sharing the idea from your friend who got some of it via rudolf steiner.. i have never heard of that before... i continue to be mystified by the world around me.. i recall a time, a long time ago of reading some of steiners works and finding them very inspirational and fascinating... he seemed to have some special insights that really captured my attention..

i want to share something that my friend aj shared with me about a month ago, but i was unable to examine it due to a busy schedule.. basically aj happened to note the conjunction of mars-rahu-uranus at the beginning of august and how it ties into the charts of zelensky, ukraine - 557pm chart and to a lesser extent, the russian flag chart..

my conclusion on looking at this conjunction on the nodal axis in such close proximity to the charts of zelensky and ukraine 557pm chart in particular is that some significant change in the leadership is suggested.. here are my comments addressed yesterday to aj, based on finally getting a chance to look at the overlay of this conjunction to these charts...

In 1963, Henri J. Gouchon maintained a correspondence with André Barbault. The latter told him that he was immersed in mundane astrology and that he had read 15,000 pages of history books in recent years.
By studying the planetary positions corresponding to 60 dates of armistices and 60 dates of wars, he had found 19 Jupiter-Sun conjunctions in the first case and only one in the second.
The signing of an armistice is always preceded by more or less long negotiations, we will admit that it is quite normal that at the time of the signing the Sun has often exceeded Jupiter by a certain number of degrees. It is necessary to calculate the duration of a Sun-Jupiter conjunction, which is, for an orb of 15 degrees on either side, 40 days in round numbers.
The conjunctions of the Sun with Jupiter occur on average every 398.5 days (calculation made on 12 successive conjunctions), a figure which can be rounded up to 400 days. Consequently, we have a chance in 10 (400/40=10) of finding the conjunction in question within 15 degrees.
With 19 conjunctions on 60 dates of armistices, Gouchon concluded that the conjunction of the Sun and Jupiter played an obvious role during the talks and the conclusion of the armistices.

Now this conjunction Sun/Jupiter happened early March and no armistice in Ukraine except for opening humanitarian corridors for the refugees, agreements that were quickly dismisses or not respected.
Why?
May I suggest a partial answer here. The conjunction was also conjunct the asteroid Nessus.

As a side note, it should also be noted that none of the wars broke out when the Sun was between 107 and 140 degrees (waxing trine).
He also noted that the Sun-Mars conjunction in an orb of 30 degrees on either side plays a role in both armistices and wars. After all, it may very well be that this configuration is merely an indication that war-related issues are on the agenda, and their solution, one way or the other, may depend on other factors.

i wonder what the astro signature for war is? did gouchon or barbault mention anything about that? can we assume a sun-saturn conjunction with some mars involvement as likely? i get how a sun-mars conjunction would suffice as noted in your commentary..

based on planetary phase concept, it seems to me that planets are much more effective once out of the suns beams and rising ahead of the sun by 15 or more degrees.. maybe 10 degrees is enough.. i don't know exactly.. this is about where saturn was on feb 24th - about 15 or so degrees ahead of the sun and out of its beams..

there is speculation that the war started a bit earlier - feb 16th area... if you review the osce reports from feb 15th forward, which i link to below - one can see the logic in viewing the data of this war as starting earlier then feb 24th announcement from putin.. osce stands for organization for security and co-operation in europe..

The results were pretty much with JU under the beams. Lilly describes it as 'shews him or her in great fear, and over powered by some great person.'
Yet, under the beams seems to reflect here the 'secrecy' of the negotiations, that not everything is 'visible' for the observers.
For the Sun-Mars conjunction, it was evenly spreaded. Barbault's theory evolved more over time towards the concentration of planets as being problematic for humanity (wars, pandemics, natural disasters etc). So, the Bundle and the See-Saw. As we witnessed during the outbreak of the Covid and more recently with the war in Ukraine.
