in the news the past few days is an interesting development monetarily anyway with australia highlighted in it all... 368 billion is a lot of money! apparently bae systems and various other starving usa-uk military contractors are coming up roses, lol.. would be good to look at the charts available for australia, which i will try to find time for later today..

many planets in dignity seems positive in itself.. the sidereal ingress of both jupiter into aquarius and pluto into capricorn is also an interesting coincidence..

the sub deal known as ssn-aukus, had the 3 leaders out in person to the military base in san deigo on monday for the announcement... my sleuthing gives approx 130pm for their public announcement of this... if someone can find a more accurate time for this - please share.. thanks.. below is the chart for this moment.. the chart for 130pm san deigo march 13th 2023 is shown below... dst was in effect from sunday march 12th, so dst on this chart...



this chart is different in that we have 3 planets in fall - sun, moon and venus... not sure who that represents in the chart, but this is no small deal which benefits the usa-uk, but seems to really mess with australia monetarily and in other ways too... the 10th house ruler is strong in the 10th, while the ruler of the ascendant is in the 9th - under the beams of the sun.. the 8/9 house ruler saturn is also dignified... just eyeballing it - sun appears at the direct midpoint of jupiter-saturn..

this is australia's national day - same as indias as memory serves, but the aboriginals consider it a day of mourning as i understand it... this is in sidereal zodiac using krishnamurti ayanamsa..



my first observation is the saturn/venus conjunction. indian astrology considers these 2 planets to be friends.. when you think of the fact they both rule over houses 1 and 10 and 5 - all considered auspicious houses, you begin to understand some of the reasoning.. they are located in the 2nd house - also ruled by saturn, using whole sign and probably some other house systems by the look of it..

the chart is a seesaw type - pulled in 2 different directions, and needing to learn about compromising and finding solutions to the push and pull defined by the bundles of planets in opposition to one another.. this is basically a tougher eastern hemisphere emphasis balanced with the planets in the west.. maybe its beginnings as a british type penal colony feed into all this..

i guess the next thing that strikes me is the 8th house moon which is almost in a biquintile aspect to the sun, from the 8th house area... its interesting when you think of how australia is this huge island with no real neighbours in any kind of close proximity, implying a type of isolation on a global level, at least from a geographical point of view... perhaps the fact the moon rules over the 7th implies the relationships it forms always have this built in liability, which can also be considered a blessing too... the part of fortune is close by because of the approx sun rising chart here.. sun, ruler of the pof is in the 6th hose of the pof which is suggestive of a more challenging set up as i understand it..

when comparing this chart to the ssn-aukus public announcement on march 10th, we see a few outstanding connections.. first is the saturn return happening here... in fact it is about 1 degree away from an exact saturn return, which is interesting when you think of this deal being such a huge amount of money and saturn ruling over and being in the 2nd house of the chart..

the nodal axis aligns with the midheaven axis in the australia chart, with ketu close to a conjunction of the midheaven... this years eclipse cycle will directly impact the midheaven axis of this australia 1 chart.. i am not sure what this implies, but the concept of the political leadership and who leads the country may come in for some serious examination based off the potential fallout from this contract, its costs and the reality of it all.. it already has given ex pm keatings viewpoints expressed in the press club interview..

the transit of pluto in the approx area of australia 1 charts mercury-uranas opposition is interesting here... i suspect looking back to the other chart we have for aukus itself, the transit of pluto will be very close to this mercury-uranus opposition...mercury rules the 6/9 houses... the issue of foreign affairs is certainly prominent for this aukus configuration..it is what it is all about! that and defense which i understand to be a 6th house topic from a mundane pov! how much of it has the influence of pluto impinging on it?? it certainly looks like a lot!! leaving that aside for the moment - i will look at that more closely, it is interesting how prominent pluto is in the natal chart of australia 1 here.. it is in a 10 degree conjunction to australia sun and 9 degree conjunction to the ascendant... whether australia knows it or not, i do believe australia is a powerful player that is capable of standing its ground and forcing its will onto the world stage, however it sees necessary..

perhaps it goes back to how australia integrates the moon in its chart as ruler of the 7th being placed in the 8th... being subject to others agendas and the potential resentment this can create will be part of the challenge of this chart... of course australia as an independent nation has always been subject to the whims of the commonwealth, specificallly the designs the uk or britian has in mind for it.. i believe it removed the shackles from this arrangement a number of years ago - something canada has yet to do, but it seems they still haven't completely done it...

2 days ago i sent a question to the federation of australian astrologers on the national chart ausrtalian astrologers use for their country... i had offered the 521am local mean time one as the one mentioned in nic campions book... a lady named sylvia wilson replied and here is what she said... i will continue to work on this and include the other charts mentioned in her commentary below...

Thank you for your enquiry. Re Australia’s chart there are up to 26 charts that have been documented for Australia but 2 that are the most used are the one you stated although I have 5.23 am

LMT-10.04.52 and that is one that Ed Tamplin used. The other very popular one used is Jan 1, 1901, at 1.35 pm Sydney, and many many Aus Astrologers us that one, That is the swearing in chart that was rectified by Gwen Stoney from articles etc and

she actually went and timed etc. The AUKUS agreement signed on the 15th Sept4mber 2021 is a little harder to find as that meeting I think was done by Zoom, I did find mention of it in an online paper at 5.04 pm.

However, I will put all your questions out to some of our Aus Astrologers and see what more information they come up.

Regarding the chart for Australia I am aware there are various charts although 26(!). is a surprise. I have only ever seen astrologers use 4 or 5 charts.

I would surmise that all Australian charts are a variation on time for the Settlement chart of 1788 or the Federation Chart of 1901.

I did know about the late Ed Tamplin's rectified time and have it in my data files. As he was such a respected Australian mundane astrologer many follow his proposed time. I dont know what his rectification method was though. However, many just read Nick Campion's Book of World Horoscopes or online pages that repeat that.

The English astrologer Robyn Ray pointed out to me recently that she uses the Proclamation chart for Australia and finds it very powerful. This was after the first settlement date of January 26th. Robyn states the Australian Proclamation chart has been timed for 11am, 7th of February 1788, Sydney Australia.

However, when I looked into this I found a somewhat later time. According to Wikipedia: ''1788. About midday on 7 February, the convicts, marines and others who were staying were gathered by the Governor for the reading of the proclamation of New South Wales and a long reading of the rights of the convicts and others. Thus, the Colony of New South Wales was formally proclaimed on 7 February 1788. Before that, British naval administration applied.''

perhaps the most outstanding feature of this chart is the neptune-sun opposition across the ascendant axis.... this makes a lot of sense when you think that the parties involved have a very different stake in all of this... whether neptune defines australia in the ascendant here, with the dignified sun in the 7th representing the partners australia has accepted in this aukus agreement - it seems to rest on this opposition having great influence over it all... meanwhile the ruler of the ascendant is in the 12th house, with ruler of the 7th very strong and in the 7th...
