i read ted gioia's article on him today and i was curious to do his chart which is posted above in sidereal zodiac.. it has a classic combo of planets i associate with creative writing in music - mercury-venus conjunction with mercury ruling his ascendant... sun conjunct uranus way behind the ascendant - like a 12th house sun, ruling his 3rd which is also a house related to writing.. apparently the fellow was quite withdrawn which fits with this chart.. pluto-saturn in cancer rising looks like tough sloughing..

his 74 solar return has saturn on his mercury - ascendant ruler and also the 4th house ruler.. sun-moon phase is balsamic - very last phase of the moon, so a year of reflection, introspection and stuff like that is what i am thinking.. i am coming to think the 4th has something to do with happiness and well being.. i got this off indian astrology and haven't read about this in any western astrology texts.
