Is this the chart of Rembrandt van Rijn one of the great masters in art ?

While I am generally sceptic of 24 h rectifications. The process of trying, is valuable exercise in astrological thinking I believe.
And in the case of Rembrandt there is an advantage in locating the placement of the moon in his chart, due to some extreme events in his family life. And finding a possible Moon position a possible time of day when
he was born
His Mother died 1640, a child died in 1640 and his wife died in 1642. These events should make it possible to get a grip of where his moon is in his chart and subsequently maybe the approximate time of the day or night when he took birth.


1.)
So beginning with the Firdaria sequence for day and night to see if if it is more likely with a day birth or night birth. The day sequence seems more likely. So maybe a birth on daytime is more likely (see subsequently firdaria table later on).

2.)
Setting up a trial chart for noon. And progressing it to 18 june 1642 when his family tragedy culminated with the death of his wife.

The Moon is moving with an average rate of 13' degree each day. So a possible square by Solar arc Moon with the South Node is a possible time for a new trial chart. This is the arc of a possible loss of woman or wife.

3) Setting up a chart for 09:00 in morning give this solar arc of Moon square to the Nodal axis. The progressed Moon is then conjuncting the South Node in 7th house in this month of june 1642. And transiting Saturn in 7th house is right there too ! So this is very promising. Not for poor Rembrandt, but for the astrologer looking for a time of birth.

4. ) Then having a look at the produced chart show Neptune rising and Venus culminating at the MC. This could be relevant for a master of the arts ? Death of some children in his life could be Saturn in 5th house here. Relationship with servant could be pisces 7th lord in 6th house ?

5.) Virgo ascendant or possible leo or Libra maybe could also be in the range. He does not look like a Virgo, but his chart ruler Mercury in Cancer could fit with his broad body frame ? And maybe a square of venus to this ascendant could be a signification of more fleshiness `?

6.)
By adjusting the time a bit backwards to 8:30 or so, to a bit earlier, we can have Progressed MC opposite Saturn and progressed Asc squaring Saturn for this devastating period in his life.
More comments in subsequent posts. I don't claim in any way to have rectified his chart to the correct one. But is sharing some astrological thinking in that direction here.

Firdaria with Day sequence indicating day birth. The death of mother wife and child occured in his Moon major period in the Firdaria. Rembrandts natal Moon is in it's fall in Scorpio conjunct Mars. So this period should be rather challenging in terms of family and women. His Mercury period is the period of his mc ruler and was great success. His Saturn major period was hard with debts and money problems. He also had relationships with his servants at this time (saturn in 5th as ruler of 6th). So this Firdaria sequence is a good bet that he was born in a day chart with the sun above the horizon.

Trial time chart 09:00 adjusting the Moon to it's solar arc to squaring the nodal axis. By coincident transit Saturn show up on the south node for this time. Progressed Moon in 7th squaring the nodal axis. And transit Moon for this day is in the 7th pointing to issues with his wife.

I looked at some other factors as well searching for corroboration. 1640 was the year his mother died + his child. There was a total Solar eclipse in November 1639 lasting into 1640. This total eclipse was at 0' Sagittarius. So the IC point may be around there somewhere ? Also transiting Pluto on MC which is a parental axis.

(At this trial chart set for 8:22, the progressed MC is then opposing natal Saturn, and progressed Asc is square to Saturn.)


Don't know if this is the chart for Rembrandt but it was fun to play with it.
