One last update to this story, in case anyone wonders what happened:

I started work for my new employer as per the last post, and that job has been straightforward, fine, nothing to report.

My boss from the old job, however, tried to persuade me to stay on in some capacity so, with a healthy hike in pay, I ended up agreeing to do a half-day per week for them, and started in that capacity from Feb 05.

There were a lot of comings and goings starting in May or June, where the company was negotiating to sell its main product to another company for a serious amount of money that would enable it to wipe out all its debts. This was eventually settled in September 05. It was extremely hairy till the deal was done, with the lender from Jan 05 getting very shirty about delays to the repayment of his loan.

But the company eventually did not go bankrupt. At the same time, it did go through a major change of status in Sept 05. Most of its employees were transferred to the purchasing company as part of the deal, and it's now little more than a shell.

Conclusion - I don't think the destiny of the company is shown in the chart (though if anyone thinks different, please do tell). The main focus of the horary was what I should do, and basically it worked. It was because I started talking about looking for a new job that my friend, out of the blue, offered me exactly that. And I handed in my notice to the old job about five weeks after the horary, so score one to Deb!

Thanks for the update anon. It is always good to be able to follow these things through to their conclusion and to be able to see how it played out in the chart.

Because I am very new to horary charts and techniques, this thread has been very helpful to me. I even open up two windows, one for the chart, and one for the commentary so I can see exactly what is being discussed.
