not certain how to post a chart, so if someone else knows how I'd appreciate the help.

but first glance Mars in 10th, Mercury approaching MC, but Sun is in the way? but secondary look shows moon is about to perfect a sextile to Mercury, would that be a yes?

Possibly, but you may live to regret it. I have only had a very quick look but your significator of Mars is not in contact with anything by aspect. Mercury, signififyer of the job is combust the Sun, and the Moon is not in very good condition. It is in its fall among other things as well as being in the 12th house. Mercury is quite strong, apart from its combustion, as it is angular at the MC and in its own rulership and exaltation. Some might say that this is enough to overcome a significant part of the combustion effect. I would probably want to know what the Sun represents in this chart as it appears to play a significant role.

Sometimes it is very important to look beyond the yes/no answer to see whether the yes might be what you really want.

right now I am just looking for a contract to tide me over and this one is supposed to be short term(3 months). my biggest problem is that I want to take some classes and taking a contract in SF would put that on hold. I was kind of wondering why Leo would be lost in the 9th house instead of on the cusp in this case? (I mean knowing what is going on in my head I would have expected the 9th house ruler to be between Mercury and Mars)

but whatever I want to do, I need to pay the bills and they seem interested. I'm looking forward to a less tense sky, okay so I'm looking WAY forward... ;-)

Finally got a contract, allegedly starts 9 October at 9 am in Pasadena.
so no on SF, and yes on Pasadena. I also interviewed for one in Burbank which they are sitting on an offer, but for much less Moeny than the pasadena one, so am most likely starting the one in Pasadena, CA on the 9th day of the tenth month at the 9th hour... somehow I like that.

Thank you, the real difficulty I'm having is that I want ot change professions all round but haven't figured out how to maintain my lifestyle requirements while chasing that goal, and I'm not proficient enough to get a horary to tell me what it is I want to know.

does that make sense to you as a question? if so it is 11:37 am Pacific time Los Angeles close enough, on the 29th of september 2006.

I have come up with 10th in 9th and 9th sig in tenth when I ran this horary previously, which I took to mean find a job at the university (still waiting on responses from them) to support my education goals... would you read that as such? dunno, but I'm rather frustrated I do admit. thanks again for the good wishes.
