I purchased a flat 6 months ago. I will receive it tomorrow. Meanwhile, I am preparing my rental flat for the owner's inspection before I move out next month.

I cast this chart and asked, "Is my move going to be OK? Will my new home be in good condition?"
I like the trines, of course, between the Moon and the lord of the 4th, and between the Ascendant lord and the Descendant lord.

What irks me is this Mars in a sign he hates! Mars signifies my new home. What was your experience with this? What do you see?

The living room has duo-aspect windows that open to a large river, and this gives my new home an airy vibe. My surveyor told me that the insulation of this old building mightn't be ideal. So perhaps I will be uncomfortable in summer, which is short where I live, but hot?

If I understand your question, you are asking about your new home and if it is in a good condition.
Strictly focusing on this, the 4th House is ruled by Mars in Detriment in the 9th. What we can call hidden defects or 'vice cachés', diseases of the house (6th from the 4th).

The Moon (co-ruler) intercepted in Aquarius in the 2nd House and trine Mars indicates that you may have to make minor renovations (Cadent).

Did you have an inspector looking at the house? You mention insulation. Anything else SSW (9th House) up in the air (Libra) of the basement?

Yes, Ouranos. This is exactly my impression now after initial inspection - it is minor repairs I need on some wooden trims and there is some torn paint.

Having said that, I am having an electrician check out whether the circuits in the apartment are up to the current legal standard. If any fault is found, it can potentially cost us a small fortune. Will update.

Major renovations are not called for. All big items of the apartment seem to be in excellent condition. The kitchen appliances are working well. The flooring and windows are of great quality and workmanship. They look like new even after 8 years of use by previous owner.

There's something else I'd love to share with you - I have just found out that the double-glazing windows are actually a bit difficult to open..... This apparently would require some fixing/maintenance. That explains the problem with an "airy" malefic up in the 9th.... This is the floor on which my apartment is located!

I do hope this window issue wouldn't cost us a fortune. If you have the time, do you see any further indication regarding this from the chart?

With the Moon in 2nd House trine Mars, it is obvious you will have to spend some money on fixing a few things. And the Moon is waxing and under the rulership of Saturn R right now which may take some time to fix.
The 4th in Aries rules among other things the roof, ceilings and plastering in houses, furnacing. Libra, the upper rooms, bed chambers, attics, the tops of chests, wardrobes and high cupboards.

Window problems can have several causes: aging, broken inner workings, damaged frames, improper installation like lack of caulking, lack of care, mistakes made during home maintenance like painting in or around the windows but the most problematic would be related to the foundations with changes in temperature which makes a home expand and contract. I would have a double-check on this as the Moon was conjunct Pluto before it left Capricorn. (possible renovation in the sanitary).
Let's not forget that you have the North Node in the 4th trining your ASC which is a protection.

There are pros and cons. I agree Mars signifying the home in detriment isn't great and that its lord is in the 8th and retro and square the Asc lord. I would expected unexpected costs too. The NN in the 4th is good though as is the ASC lord in a nice house with the PoF. You may turn a profit on the home after some difficulties.

I bought a home with a ton of Mars significators (Moon and Mars were in Aries when I purchased and were signigicators for a horary). Fire often does mean unexpected costs. In my case the value of the home has gone up considerably though despite having to put in a lot of money for updates. I have been molding the home into something that fits me and I got a great price on it with low interest. I also have dealt with a ton of pests. I have had roaches, rats and many other bugs. I also have asbestos in the flooring. It could be something about the land or location isn't ideal in some way. It could mean you have to put a lot of your own efforts into the home, more than you realize.

I have not spent crazy money on the home yet but there were unexpected expenses. I had to hire help to repaint some space and fix some old windows. The electricity test I mentioned earlier went well, however, and didn't cost me anything extra.

I still want to change a few small things to make the home fit me, mostly for visual pleasure only. This is because where I live it would cost a small fortune to get any meaningful, more substantial work done, such as adding a handbasin to an old-fashioned French toilet, which lacks any hand-washing facility.

Abestos - that's what I have, and part of why any serious remodelling would cost extra.

I am glad to have your input on the fiery signs, and I think you are spot on.

I sure do hope the price goes up for if and when I want to move.

Hello, Mariana. I moved in two months ago and I am quite happy with the flat's condition.

I paid a bit less than the market average and my surveyor told me it was a good deal. This was probably thanks to the recently cooled-down property market where I live.

When the flat was handed over to me, it was recently repainted. The solid wood floor held well and looked great (no squeaking, still shining). The kitchen appliances were a high-quality brand to start with and still functioned well. All of these still hold true. I have not discovered any major issues.

It cost me about 250 euro to fix the double-glazing windows. But other than that there just wasn't any out-of-the-way expenses. I passed the mandatory electricity test without issues. I think the Mars in Libra, as discussed, did reflect some defective functioning of the windows.
