The Modern Occupations of the Seven Planets 1 by Aimer Hi, recently I read the judgments of occupations of the nativities in ancient astrology works. However, as the judgments of occupations based on the seven planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) is no longer suitable for today, I wonder what the occupations today corresponding to the seven planets are. For example, occupations related to Saturn includes farmers or slaves, but if the native lives in cities, it is unlikely that he or she are farmers and obviously there are no slaves now in most civilized countries. Re: The Modern Occupations of the Seven Planets 4 by james_m seems to me plenty of slavery is going on at present, and a lot of it is 9-5pm low paying jobs.. there are in fact a lot of menial jobs - working at a fast food place would qualify too.. all of these jobs are in the cities too, so frankly, i think the symbolism still holds... Re: The Modern Occupations of the Seven Planets 5 by Deb Hopefully this table will help you with this Aimer. The symbolic principles remain true, so it's a matter of thinking how those principles will play out in modeern occupations. This table is mainly based on a 20th century text but it will get you working in the right direction. jobs.jpg Viewed 3179 times 302.18 KiB Quote Sat Sep 02, 2023 8:35 am

Hello, Whether I use traditional astrology or jyotish, I like to refer to Bill Levacy's book, Beneath a Vedic Sun. It covers the seven traditional planets and adds the moon's nodes, since they're used in jyotish. Adjustments fot tropical astrology should not be difficult to make. I have not seen other books that goes as deep as this one yet. If you decide to get it, pay attention to its price, since it may be out of print.
