morocco and 2023 earthquake

1
my condolences to all those who have suffered or worse in the moroccos earthquake the past couple of days..

the chart i have is from nic campions book of world horoscope, but i have put it in sidereal zodiac.. it is shown below..

Image

the moon ruler of the ascendant is in the 6th whole house sign, having past an opposition to venus, the 4/11th ruler prior to this moment..the moons ruler is rising in the ascendant at the very beginning of leo - gandanta.. in fact the ascendant also lands in this area, so for anyone interested, here is a link you can where read up on it.. https://komilla.com/lib-gandanta.html
there is also a powerful t square to this chart with pluto-mars running across the ascendant axis and being squared onto by the mercury-saturn opposition.. technically you could say this opposition also includes the sun and nodal axis, so any time planets run this early fixed signs, is an important trans formative time for morocco... the positive outlet from the t square would be uranus in early cancer but in the 12th house.. generally i think of jupiter rising as positive, but in its infancy at zero degrees it might not carry much strength..

the chart i have for the timing of the event 2311 local is set to ighil, morocco.. i might have the chart wrong, because i am confused on the time zone - west
https://www.timeanddate.com/time/zones/west - i might have it right, lol..

here is a wikipedia page on this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Marr ... earthquake

if the chart is correct - we see early fixed taurus rising, which is in the t square of the chart i am using for morocco.. saturn squares onto the ascendant and is also heavily involved in the natal t square.. clearly morocco would be going thru a challenging time anyway with the transit of saturn thru the natal t square.. the transiting nodal axis emphasizes the uranus-neptune square found in the natal chart as well.. below is a biwheel of chart for morocco with the chart for the earthquake on the outside.. perhaps some others would like to chime in on this.. i happened to notice while writing that marjorie orr has a post on this as well.. the link is found below this chart..

It's interesting that Jupiter and Uranus are still stuck on the same degrees as their station a few days ago. Station charts are traditionally more powerful when stationary like Jupiter, however for the first time since I can remember the Ingress chart is slightly more noteworthy than the Station charts. Orr takes the Lunar Eclipse chart into consideration. All the charts have one feature in common, that of being strong at the angles. Here is the Cancer Ingress set for Morocco - the so-called ''bendings'' between the Nodes and Pluto stand out as dangerous due to their angularity. Another warning could be seen in the exact conjunct of Mars and Black Lilith with Mars moving on to form a Yod with the Moon with the finger pointing to his fellow malefic Saturn.

The real time transit trigger to all this is the Mars-Uranus sesquiquadrate just as the Mars-
Pluto trigger was present in the Turkey EQ early this year. Add that to the Jupiter/Uranus
conjunct and Eris/Nodes and the pressure is visible astrologically whilst we look for triggers
to them. Vulcanus at the zenith?

thanks aj!

what do you think of the theory that the dasa and subdasa period having 2 planets in unfavourable relationship to one another makes the whole period even less favourable?? i read it in a book.. i don't have enough experience to know whether it is true or not.. saturn and venus are in aversion to one another in the morocco chart..

thanks greg!

did you check the aries ingress chart? why not use that, especially if it is fixed on the ascendant? i generally stopped looking at ingress charts when i got captivated with sidereal zodiac, but going on memory, the aries ingress is generally used.. only if mutable rising, or cardinal rising, might motivate me to consider the other seasonal ingress charts... have you considered doing a chart for the jupiter - uranus conjunction in 2014 and drawing some predictive ideas off that chart? i know i am getting tangential here, but thought i'd ask.. cheers james

Again the Aries Ingress has the same angularity as the Cancer Ingress chart with the Nodal Axis
on the ASC-DC axis. Pure speculation here but regarding the low frequency of large earthquakes in Morrocco is it possible that emphasis on the angles point more specifically to the area involved...almost like saying..'look over here!'. Other places have an EQ with such regularity that it really only needs a stressful aspect between the outer planets to set them on edge. In Turkey for example I don't recall the nodes being involved this closely.

There are some repeated patterns. In searching for a trigger Mars sextiles Lilith, it's conjunct in the previous
chart and Sun opposes Ceres (sq in Can ingress), Mars trines Saturn (quincunx) and again Jupiter closely transits conjunct Uranus on same degree!

ps. forgot to correct the time for exact transits - when I did this aspect was exact to the second - Mars Sextile Lilith-0°00’. Beware of Lilith!

Here is the Jupiter-Uranus synod chart set for Morocco that James asked for. It's interesting that Sun-Moon-Mars-Pluto surround the MC - an indication of future trouble with this conjunction?

Sun-Moon-Mars square Saturn. Food for thought!

i was curious of the jupiter-uranus conjunction for april 2024 and how it might relate, but it is fine to look at the previous conjunction in tropical pisces too..

although there may be someone who is predicting earthquakes in advance, i am not aware of their work!
In the may eclipse mars is angular over Marrakech

carl

thanks.. that was mentioned by marjorie orr in the link i provided at the very bottom of my first post on this... but since you mention it, i decided to recreate the chart in sidereal on morinus.. i am forced to use the time of 18:33: 50, may 5, 2023 for marrakesh to get the exact opposition of sun and moon, which is a slightly later time to what marjorie orr shows in her solar fire software... below is the chart in sidereal zodiac - krisnamurti ayanamsa

yes, mars is ''angular'' but then so is jupiter and pluto.. in fact - there are a number of midpoints in the vicinity of the angles - mars/pluto in particular.. jupiter appears closest to the angles and is less then 1 degree of a square to the midheaven degree..

but i ask you carl... who could foresee this in advance?? i always come up short on this question i ask myself repeatedly..

Why are we putting up all these charts if they are not predictive in nature?

What exactly would be the point of them?

The problem is in the MULTICIPLICITY of these charts which probably needs AI to synthesise them into some sort of warning system which locates the issue to a certain locality. ie. Morocco, Libya etc.

i am including my own philosophical orientation in all of this and it might be better that i respond to your question/s in the philosophy section.. but i will try here anyway..

most of the astrology i see being practiced is what i would refer to as hindsight astrology... hindsight astrology is generally 20/20 and you can float any number of astrological theories and ruminations as to what the astrological reason or reasons are for why something happened in the past..

making an actual prediction is a different reality all together... yes, you see this in horary and sports where there are specific astrological rules that are followed - usually following in the footsteps of william lilly, or whoever the astrological student or teacher follows.. but you don't see this in the mundane realm or with the charts of people all that often, if at all... instead what you see are subjective viewpoints of astrologers giving their subjective rationale for a particular emphasis in a particular area or set of astrological techniques to choose from... you've grabbed onto a very novel one, lol - station charts... but as i have suggested - thin slicing the actual time of this event is the work of computers and would not have been entertained until very recently.. speaking of which i am in real opposition to AI, but that is probably another conversation to be had at another time too..

although i bring these charts up in a similar vein or style - hindsight astrology - i still have a tendency to lean a particular way on some of them - most recently my overview on justin trudeau is or was as much my general impression as it was the heavy saturn transit to the prominent saturn - neptune opposition in his chart.. is he a flake, or a con artist? do i need astrology to contemplate this when the media is asking me to contemplate it anyway? and if this is so - does it come under the astrological umbrella we associate with neptune, or?? so there is subjectivity in all of this no matter what the most objective person would like to suggest... i have also done a similar thing with the charts of olaf shultz, emmanual macron and etc. etc.. for me bringing these individuals up - who generally represent the country they are leading, are my own feeble attempt at drawing a conclusion that wouldn't be possible without the astrology.. that is what is unique to me and astrologers more generally, although i am not so presumptuous as to believe that i have latched onto the real truth and insights into these leaders that you would presume to get from listening to the media! to presume to get some insight off the astrology is a very attractive idea... taking the cycles to project into the future is not something i see a whole lot of.. in fact, there is an absence of it!!!

that is my general view and point in making these passing comments to you.. there might be more to it, but i will stop here.. cheers james
