You are probably right, and unwisely I've allowed hope for a Jays win to cloud my thinking.
Ouranos wrote: Another wisdom move would be to discard betting on this game tonight.
lol..I am not a gambler, I like the gaming charts because of the quick feedback, the trouble is figuring out exactly why things go wrong: faulty reasoning, misunderstanding the methodology, misapplying the methodology or is it a faulty framework? So far Bonatti is holding up but I need to check quite a few more charts. Although given my tendency to wishful thinking I think I need to branch and check the charts for other games rather than just the Jays.

Edit: oops…I fibbed. I have been known to play Poker and Blackjack and buy the odd Lotto ticket so I do gamble on occasion but I have not bet on games, at least, not that I can remember.

Nice to be sharing this post with you Janegca!

Yes, it is nice to be able to have discussions; although I hope we have not scared Jason off, he did start us down this road, I hope we all can continue on it for a little longer.

No janegca, you two haven't scared me off lol. I've actually been following along each time I receive a notification that someone's posted to this thread. (Really got a kick out of Ouranos' biblical baseball joke the other day; thanks for the laugh Ouranos!) I'm just swamped with my day job and "life" stuff these past few days. Haven't had much time to sit down and really give the attention to this topic that I'd like to. I did d/l a copy of the notes you've made on Bonatti's contest rules from the link you shared. Thanks for those! I'm really enjoying this discussion, and glad to have linked up with the two of you on here - you've both got great energy and impressive skills. Looking forward to having some more time to spare in the near future so I can contribute to the conversation properly, pick your brains, crack some more jokes with Ouranos and whatnot - on this topic and all sorts of others. Soon, hopefully. Til then - keep the fire burning, please. :)

Thanks, Ouranos. I ordered a copy of Sophia Mason's book on diurnals the other day, on your recommendation. I also saw that there's a lengthy thread on the topic of Winning with Mid-Points and Diurnals that you posted last year. Looking forward to having the time to take a closer look at that soon. TGIF!

You are welcome Jason!
Many years ago, I worked on a spreadsheet of teams location for every other major sports in the World.
It needs to be updated but it is a starting point.
And the site latlong.net can give you the location of any stadium with the seconds.
---------------
Last night, the Jays held on until the 8th inning but they were overwhelmed by the Rangers and lost 9-2.
In her book, Sophia Mason gives the edge to the Vertex over the POF. The Vertex is an intersection point of two imaginary circles in the cosmos: the ecliptic, which traces the path of the sun from our perspective, and the prime vertical, which divides the celestial sphere into front and back.
What I get from this point is like a cornerstone, a turning point, a fee to an entrance for winning.
So many things to learn and understand! I don't have enough of this lifetime to reach 10% of what astrology can teach me.

Blessings!

Thanks for sharing the stadium gps coordinates Ouranus. Like Jason, I too got hold of a copy of Sophia Mason's book. Taking a closer look at her use of the upper and lower hemispheres she appears to rely on aspects to the angles but gives 1 and 4 to the home team and 7 and 10 to the away team while Bonatti/Brady Castle Besiegment rules which give the 1st to the attacker and the 4th to the castle defenders. Have to give it a closer read.

As for the Jays, sigh. Knew I was being overly optimistic, looking for any sign of improvement for them. The game actually started at 7:09 so that partile Mars/Desc semi-sextile that I clung to was non-existant. Mars in detriment in the 7th has hurt them throughout, instead of "refuse to lose" they seemed to lose all their fight. And the Moon applying to conjunct the Sun was definitely not a strength, the strike/ball calls while Gausman was pitching were not the best.

Out of curiosity I looked at Fortune and the Vertex in the game chart, it would look as if Fortune, being conjunct the Asc, favoured the Rangers. The Vertex sits in the 7th in trine to the 4th (belongs to L7, home team) and sextiles the 10th (belongs to away team), so misleading re: outcome. I didn't spot Bonatti or Brady using Fortune anywhere, I know Frawley uses it. Perhaps its something to keep an eye on.

Jays start another series tonight, against Boston. Almost afraid to look ... lol

Here is the season chart for the Red Sox.

I read an article on the Red Sox today that they fired Chaim Bloom, president of baseball operations for the Red Sox after four years, with one playoff appearance, two last-place finishes, and this year’s 73-72 record that has them well behind the three contenders in the AL East.
This Red Sox team could have been a lot better if they’d just gone out and spent some money on some pitching said the article.

In their season chart, Saturn sits on the cusp of the 8th sextile the MC and transiting Saturn R back to this position. Hard to ask this team to spend more with Saturn right there!

More on the game tonight later...
Blessings!

I hear you there, Ouranos. I'm 44 and've been a student of this art since I was a teen. The learning never ends. That's part of what I love about this pursuit. It consistently blows my mind.

Are they playing in Boston? I'm on the western side of the state, working outdoors, and it's windy out here today. Over on the coast they're expecting 20-30 mph winds tonight and a 50% chance of rain. (Hurricane Lee is approaching, though thankfully won't make landfall in MA) I wonder what sort of impact that could have on the game. (and could a game chart speak to such conditions?)

Hi Jason, no, they are playing in Toronto again and Rogers Centre is domed so weather doesn't normally affect play any more. I'd expect the chart to show weather conditions but not sure exactly how, would need to (a) re-work my way through Zain's Weather Predicting and (b)check a number of games that were delayed due to weather.

I'm going to start a new thread for their 3 games.
