what immediately draws my attention is the transit of uranus moving towards the ascendant in this chart.. the 2nd observation would be t saturn approaching the square to the 12th house ruler mars... t saturn has been hitting the natal moon of late and is also heavily involved in aspecting the rising moon - mars duo that are rising in this chart..

it would probably be prudent to consider the charts we have for france in light of all of this.. i know i have done this and felt that the 1792 chart for france is particularly active and a good insight into some of the dynamics we see at play in africa at present... others might like to chime in here which would be nice!

Hey James: I also note that the true NN is stationing and aspecting 8L Jupiter as well from the 12th house.
All of the even house Equal Bhava Madhyas are afflicted as well.
12L tMa just passed in a square aspect to natal Saturn.

thanks for the additional insights aj! the true nodes connection in transit are rarely considered, but perhaps you are onto something quite important.. using whole house systems, the emphasis of the nodal axis along the 12/6 cusp is very relevant as i see it, especially as it directly engages the 8th house lord directly..
