• Note that he had transitting Jupiter, which rules his 10th house of career/reputation, retrograde in the 3rd house of press and communications,
  o whilst Venus, which rules his 3rd house, squared Jupiter exactly,
  o whilst moving from the trine of his natal Mars, to his natal Moon/Jupiter conjunction,
  o which was simultaneously being opposed by a nasty Moon-Mars conjunction in his 8th house
  o while the Sun (within 5° of the cusp of his 5th house ‘of sex and pleasures’ natally) was upon the destructive 8th house cusp by transit
  o while squaring his natal Mercury in Gemini in the 5th house, which happens to be his radical 8th house ruler.

Ouch.
BTW, I am interested in this because of the policital fall-out and issues about whether this is a battle of establishment media v anti-establishment media, etc. I think there could be something in that, though I personally closed down all respect and interest in Brand years ago following the Andrew Sachs affair.

Sept 17th, his diurnal AS was conjunct Hades in square with Moon/Mars
Unpleasantness with other people, to be threatened by other people, to become publicly known in a disagreeable manner.

His natal AS at 28 Cap 11 conjunct Pluto opp Venus falls right on his diurnal 8th House cusp in the midpoint UR = VE/PL Surprising event leading to a restructuration of his joint ventures and relationships.

The Venus-Jupiter square falls on the Aries Point (public event) in square to his natal A/M - The social and vocational relations in the closer surroundings. In this minute, at this place.
And natally, the A/M = SA/NE - A situation in the general public of long duration. Kind of a sickness having an impact on his whole life. Wearing the tag of a sick man.

One more chart I would like to present, is that of the secondary progressions for the day of the specified event along with the transits. Except for the T-square that aligns with the Asc-dsc axis (transit Pluto - Progressed Sun - Natal Uranus) there is also a progressed Moon-Mercury opposition forming an exact T-square with the natal Jupiter(lord 2nd and 10th) -Saturn(lord 1st) square, which might reflect the attempts made by the public mainstream media and the government to silence Russell Brand by de-platforming and demonetizing his social media channels, as well as banning Rumble, the only platform that refuses to comply.

There was an interesting article on this today in Counterpunch Russell Brand: Margaret Thatcher is Right Again. It's essentially about trial by media and how de-stabilizing it can be for civil society. I'm not a fan of Brand or Thatcher but to paraphrase Northrup Frye, any d*mn fool can have a good idea and I do think Thatcher got this one right.

I have worked with his chart a bit. And I think too that this is the case.
Among other things his current solar return for the beginning of day have a problematic moon.
A T-square with Saturn and both lights.

Jyotish methods suggest a birth time after 00:05.
So a time at the end of capricorn or just at the entry of Aquarius I think.
He have a strong Uranus at the Nonagesimal (Zentith point) and is behaving as angular
squaring the ascendant. Giving his nonconformity stance in the world.
