LTA Research 1st Test of an Airship filled with Helium

This happened on November 8th but just caught my eye. Out of curiosity, took a look at the chart and thought I'd post it here for future reference.

Giant electric airships could one day deliver humanitarian aid

"Pathfinder 1 during outdoor flight operations testing at Moffett Field, Mountain View, California, November 8, 2023"

The World's Largest Aircraft Breaks Cover in Silicon Valley

"The whole operation occurred under the cover of darkness, not because LTA has something to hide but because the airship’s flight test program begins with the first rays of the morning sun"

The article says the ship (based on its FAA Certificate) had to be tethered to a pole: Saturn (limitation) with Neptune (aircraft) in the 4th (ground).
And the reason it was tested at dawn was because the engineers wanted to see how the material would hold up under exposure to the Sun's warmth: Sun in 1st with Mars (testing?)
The company is also playing up the "humanitarian aid" aspect (Moon ruling 9th of publicity in 10th) applying to conjunct Venus (L12) in 11th (enemy acting as a friend); possibly with the hope of getting government (11th?) or foreign partner (Venus L7) funding. They may already be getting tax dollars with Mercury (L8) in the 1st.

The test appears to have gone ok; at least, I have not found any articles to say otherwise but can't say I like Mars (L1) combust or the opposition to Uranus (explosion) or the nodal axis across the 12th/6th with Pluto (drastic action) sitting square in the 3rd (travel). The chart does have a partile trine between the Moon and Uranus: a new (Uranus) idea (Moon rules 9th) that went well (trine)? The connection to new tech (Sergey Brin started the project) maybe indicated by Uranus or possibly Moon in Virgo, Mercury in 1st.

The project has been in existence for 10 years and if the tests at Moffett Field go well the operation will move to Akron, Ohio where they are planning on building a fleet of airships.

Hi Jane, interesting airship news; thanks for sharing.

The popsci.com article you linked to states that the Pathfinder 1 is 400 feet long and 66 feet wide...the largest aircraft to take to the skies since the ill-fated Hindenburg in the 1930s. (Though, at over 800 feet long, the Hindenburg would dwarf Pathfinder 1.) I looked up the date for the Hindenberg's maiden voyage (the afternoon of March 4, 1936; chart posted below) and found it interesting to see that the Sun was close to Saturn on that day (1° orb). In the chart you shared for the launch of the Pathfinder1, the Sun applies to Mars. Two launches involving the Sun in close proximity to malefics; the malefics "hidden" by the Sun. If the Hindenberg's history of being used as a vessel to deliver Nazi propaganda is a valuable consideration, I, too, am a bit suspicious of:

It's also notable that Mars is in domicile, Saturn in Pisces, and Uranus in Taurus during both launches. Also, the strong aspect connections between the Sun, a malefic, and Neptune in both launch charts.

Hmmm.

I don't have time before work this morning to delve into the articles here on Skyscript that explore ship launches, but they might be worth considering when looking at the chart you shared.

Last thing I'll add as just a personal aside, the article also mentions that the Pathfinder 1 Despite its massive size, will only be able to carry a relatively small amount of cargo. Depending on how tests go and the specific requirements of the situation, LTA expects the airship to have a payload of between 4,400 and 11,000 pounds.. I'm not sure how familiar you are with transport industry standards, but in my line of work (lumber & building material supplies) I often drive a Ford F550 with a 16' flatbed (a strong but relatively smaller transport truck in the industry) and that thing has a max payload weight of 12,700 lbs! In my humble opinion, that airship isn't very spectacular in terms of the amount of cargo in can handle when you consider its size.

Anyway, here's the Hindenberg maiden voyage chart (set for noon as the only time I could find was that it launched in the early afternoon):

What I find interesting is that Gas balloons, airships or travel by air is a combination of Sun and Neptune

In this chart
SU/NE = Admetos
Admetos is raw material (helium from the Sun), hindrance, reduction
And what you mention Jason that it can carry a payload of 4,400 to 11,000 pounds is not surprising with Admetos in the picture.

SU/PO = ARI
Sun/Poseidon = Aries Point
The whole thing is filled with Artificial Intelligence.

In the chart of the Hindenberg maiden voyage, SU opp NE Angular.
Blessings!

Well, that puts paid to their "humanitarian relief" story; it's not much of a relief if it can't carry as much as a single truck! I also learned the other day that there is a worldwide shortage of helium! It is a natural resource and once it's gone, it's gone. It can be manufactured but the costs are high which, in my book, makes its use as a replacement for gas and oil highly questionable.
Anyway, here's the Hindenberg maiden voyage chart (set for noon as the only time I could find was that it launched in the early afternoon):
Thanks, think I found the time, see The Titanic of the Skies, the article puts it at 3pm.

The LTA doesn't have as much emphasis on the 8th as the Hindenburg chart does but the Sun/malefic connections are interesting; and the nodal axis runs on 12th/6th axis in both charts.

Interesting that the two connections reinforce the idea of (a) the helium shortage, and (b) the fiction of airship as viable cargo carrier

Mercury/Kronos is on the Aries Point with both associated with 'flight'. Uranian Astrologer gives an example here -
First Powered Flight
This first chart is an event and falls into the “literal” category for Kronos in that it is chart of the first powered flight that took place in 1903 at 10:35 am in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. It’s literal because when we look at the Meridian, it represents the event, the actual snapshot of energies at the “moment" of flight at 10:35 am. Kronos is illuminated here by being precisely on the Meridian. So Meridian/Kronos, we have things that are “literally” high up.

I would also take a close look at the Jupiter-Uranus synod chart preceding events and also the Uranus and maybe Jupiter station charts.

So this is what the previous Jupiter-Uranus Synod in 1928 looks like when the Progressed Moon on 4 March, 1936 (maiden voyage of Hindenberg) comes round a whole 9 years later forming a Cardinal T-square with Jup-Uranus on the Aries Point!(0'Aries).

And one more on the JU-UR chart, this time progressions for the time of the Hindenberg Disaster.

Progressed Moon conjunct Pluto exact.

Progressed Moon quincunx Saturn exact.

What a fascinating subject it is and there is an astrologer out there who actually specialises on Astrology and Aircraft.

Quite remarkable but totally expected of the Uranus Station chart. A classic example.

At the time of Hindenberg's maiden voyage Progressed Moon was applying trine Jupiter. Very beneficent of course and strikingly successful by all accounts and so the glory days go on and on until 1937 when prog Moon leaves Jupiter to oppose Mars and then disaster! Up it goes in flames.
The Vernal Point suggests something new, a beginning, an inauguration and a Jupiter/Uranus cycle on this axis or any other longer cycle can develop as the relationship between the planets unfold (hard aspects).
Yes, Ouranos, similar to the space race and it's connection to jupiter/uranus synod.

for some reason Astroseek does not allow co-ordinates

Here is the Aries Point though and interestingly it includes both Jupiter and Mars ( a repeat of what we are seeing in the chart!).

URANUS STATION 1936

Aries Point -

MA/UR
Focal Point

Abrupt action taken. Unexpected development. Over-impulsive action. Sudden event. A state of enormous excitement. Fighting. Wounds. Sudden event. Exciting action. Energetic act. Bloody injury. Operation. Accident.

JU/ASC= Happy companionship with many. Natural locations, beautiful surroundings.
