Re: Aries Point 25 by james_m ouranos speaking of keeping ones balance................ maybe a little diversion for me to talk about my past experiences in astrology would help, lol... when i was living in manhattan in 1982, i got introduced to uranian astrology.. i used to hang out at an astrology bookshop and kibbutz with the people working their.. that was the beginning of a long relationship with the work of ebertin, witte and etc. etc.. learning how to use the 90 degree wheel and trying to find the relevance of all of the information i was introduced to.. bottom line - some of it stuck and some of it didn't! i think it is great to pursue different avenues of astrological thought and i would never discourage anyone from doing so! regarding the use of the part of fortune in the charts i share... my solar fire prog on this unix computer which i had my friend jig up with wine to be able to run it - bit the dust a few months ago - maybe it is getting close to 3/4 of a year... i have thus limited by chart sharing to morinus, although i do have solar fire 9 on my laptop.. again - experimentation... i used to include chiron on the charts i shared here earlier - those black charts that therese didn't enjoy! anyway - yes the pof... its an experiment to see if it has any relevance... it involves the distance of the sun-moon projected onto the ascendant.. thus it involves 3 important points in the chart - sun, moon and ascendant.. the formula can be worked out differently for day and night births.. like a lot of astrological theories and ideas, i am undecided on its relevance.. pluto was and wasn't a planet, lol... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarf_planet for anyone interested, you'll find the above link and discussion to dwarf planets interesting.. here is an excepted part of it.. "IAU Resolution 6a of 2006[35] recognizes Pluto as "the prototype of a new category of trans-Neptunian objects". The name and precise nature of this category were not specified but left for the IAU to establish at a later date; in the debate leading up to the resolution, the members of the category were variously referred to as plutons and plutonian objects but neither name was carried forward, perhaps due to objections from geologists that this would create confusion with their pluton.[2]" personally, i don't care what astronomers decide on in there use of the terms... i am into making connections thru observation and seeing what seems to hold true more often then not.. i remain receptive to new ideas and i view all of the process as an ongoing learning curve.. i hope that i continue to remain open to different ideas and never stop learning! 49 years in astrology and still going, lol.. maybe i will have a 50th anniversary party next year and invite you all! ---------------- jason i don't know.. i can't answer your question.. cheers.. Re: Aries Point 26 by Ouranos Currently, the midpoint Saturn/Pluto = Aries Point We can link this midpoint to hindered or slow developments in the world. Separations, divorces, cancelled agreements. ----------- This midpoint is also linked with financial difficulties, high interest rates, defaults payments on credit cards, the cost of food and living in general. Jupiter opposition Apollon is linked to the booming of the Dow Jones. The economy has not only avoided a recession but has grown at an above-average pace, and enthusiasm around artificial intelligence (Poseidon). Will it last? It is as if the market is disconnected from the reality of everyday people. ----------- Poseidon represents also education, higher learning, universities and science. According to Bloomberg, the higher education in the US faces a systemic crisis. And we recently saw the Harvard President Claudine Gay accused of plagiarism. ------------- Listed in the chart are some upcoming transits to the Aries Point. Mercury is going R tomorrow and the Sun will soon hit 0 Capricorn. The general public opinion does not understand or is backing up from their leaders in the world. Early January, Mars enters the dance. Working conditions are facing difficulties and are slow to be carried out. Blessings! Re: Aries Point 27 by Hjortonomus I follow cosmobiology for the most of time, with some addendums like Aries Point. It is definitely worth to note in analysis. Rob Hand mentions also it in his symbols book. AR is linked in some way to public image and larger social circles. Re: Aries Point 28 by Ouranos (I do not think Uranian astrology is otherwise worth to praise --- hypothetical planets, oh no....!) A hypothetical Solar System object is a planet, natural satellite, subsatellite or similar body in the Solar System whose existence is not known, but has been inferred from observational scientific evidence. (Wikipedia) Astrology is full of 'hypothetical points'... Houses, Lots, Nodes, midpoints... Even astrology is hypothetical. When you look at a cow lying in a cornfield, farmers say that it will rain. Should we call it scientific or hypothetical? I call it wisdom. What is certain over what is hypothetical is to look and recognize the signs sent to us. Best to you, Ouranos Blessings! Re: Aries Point 29 by Greg Young I've done a reasonably small amount of research so far so it will be interesting to see if it continues to be quite this positive. It's also interesting to note that Uranian Astrology has never really caught on in astrological circles with any real popularity. That could change with Pluto in Aquarius. It seems to work quite well, at least so far. From the last few days.... .............on UK front pages, a Campaign to support Assisted Dying for chronically ill as Saturn conjuncts Admetos = patience; a slow death. And from a few days ago = Prague Shooting The few astrologers I've read on this tragedy have opined that apart from Mars on the DC. there isn't a great deal going on. That changes when Vulcanus is added, making an interesting and forceful configuration known as a 'Thor's Hammer' (a square and two sesquiquadrates) with a near stationary Jupiter pointing to the angular Mars. Best to you, Ouranos Well - it is not question of the same thing, as you claim that nodes, lots, midpoints are hypothetical. They are mathematical points, abstract, but not hypothetical in strict conceptual meaning. Hypothetical is based only on beliefs, but mathematics is not. "Speculative" is close to hypothetical, not mathematical. Quote Mon Dec 25, 2023 7:00 pm
Re: Aries Point 31 by Ouranos Then you should talk to James Neely, an American mathematician, an expert in celestial mechanics and computer programming, whose work on the exact calculation of ephemeris values using orbital elements with electronic calculators unwittingly benefited astrologers through their incorporation into Matrix software in the 1970s. Including the Trans-Neptunians! He has a PhD in Chemistry and Neuro Linguistic Programming as well of being an historian. Not a bad reference in the speculative world of science. "From this system, the hypothetical planets, which are situated in the zone of the Kuiper belt, with an orbital periodicity which extends from 262 years to 720 years - known under the name of Transneptunians - are not constituent elements, but rather, according to the opinion of Gary Christen, consequence. They become integrated with the other components of the system that are the solar bow, the directions, the composite charts and the mid-points. But Transneptunians represents, always according to the opinion of Gary Christen, the highest, the most esoteric part of the system.." (The Transneptunian question - Charles Ridoux, p. 4) Blessings! Re: Aries Point 33 by Ouranos I was recently watching a game show on TV when a man won $1,527,000 I did an event chart when he won the jackpot. We have the ruler of the AS and MC Mercury combusted, in detriment and fall in the 6th. Can we call it confusion and on the verge of a nervous breakdown? ------------- The Aries Point offers some clue as to 'What happened?' 3 midpoints involving Uranus converged at the Aries Point VE/UR - MA/UR and JU/UR Being a lucky winner, suddenly, unforeseen. A very exciting moment. The MO/CU midpoint is also involved. Cupido is marriage, family. He shared his prize with his wife and 2 daughters. Also MC/ZE Zeus is goal-oriented, achievement and performance. The obvious question that came up is 'What are you going to do with all that money?' He won in front of an audience. He got known for being the lucky winner. The Aries Point is exactly that! Blessings! Re: Aries Point 34 by Ouranos The Astrological Association is a British astrological organisation. The Astrological Association of Great Britain (AA) was formed in London on 21 June 1958. Its founding members, notably John Addey and Roy Firebrace, were members of the Astrological Lodge of the Thesosophical Society. John Addey later become President of the AA. The AA produces three publications - the Astrological Journal, published six times a year, Correlation, published biannually, and the Medical Astrology Newsletter. In 2013 the organisation was awarded charity status and the name was legally changed to 'The Astrological Association' Wiki ---------- In 'Working with Astrology', Michael Harding and Charles Harvey(1990) "The Aries Point can be of particular importance when evaluating mundane charts, and the charts of countries, companies and organizations. For example, the British Astrological Association was elected to begin its existence on June 1958 at 19:22 GMT in London. (Rodden) (Source notes: Taeger Lexikon quotes Charles Harvey: 19:22 GMT, 8:22 local British summer time.) "As far as we know neither John Addey nor Ronald Davison, who were responsible for choosing this date, not Brigadier Firebrace, who fine tuned the chart, were 'au fait' with the use of the Aries Point, beyond the fact that they obviously recognized the importance of choosing the summer solstice. However, when we examine the chart we find that the midpoint which Witte relates to 'meetings', Aries Point/ASC is exactly conjunct Uranus, clearly indicating that here is a moment and an organization which is concerned with astrological meetings." On page 440, they also mention the time Reagan and Gorbachev signed the USA/USSR Arms Treaty in Washington DC on Dec 8 1987 at 14h07 EST when we find Aries Point/AS = VE, which Witte gives as a 'public statement' or we could say a 'public signing'. -------------- The 2 midpoints related to astrology are prominent ME/UR = MC = JU UR/AP = ZE, PL, KR and PO Blessings!
