Queen of Denmark Margarethe II

1
After making the surprise announcement on live TV two weeks ago during her traditional New Year's Eve speech, Denmark's Queen Margarethe II will sign the declaration of her abdication today at around 1300 GMT, leaving the throne to her son, Crown Prince Frederik. She will become the second monarch, and first queen, to abdicate the Danish throne. The last (and only other) time an abdication happened in Denmark was in 1146, when King Eric III stepped down (and entered a monastery, St. Canute's Abbey, where he died later the same year).

I'm not familiar with the Danish monarchy, so don't have much to say about this, but perhaps someone else here can. I happened across the article this morning and, out of curiosity, found her chart in Astrodatabank with an AA rating.

From a mundane astrology POV, it's interesting to consider that this is happening on a day when the two luminaries (royalty) are each applying to planets associated with endings: the Sun to Pluto and the Moon to Saturn. On top of that, the conjunctions are occurring in feminine signs ruled by Saturn and Jupiter (the two classical superior planets associated with epochal events).

If you ask me, the sequence of the Moon's aspects today fits this story well. After its conjunction with Saturn (ancestry), the Moon (queen) quickly applies to Jupiter (extensions) while already in orb of the next application, a sextile to exalted Mars (prince).

Another point some might want to consider is how Margarethe is 83 years old, experiencing her Uranus return, while transiting Neptune and Pluto oppose their own positions in her nativity.

Here's her chart:

Hello Jason,

Margaret is a girl's name of Greek origin, meaning “pearl.” (Moon)
In her natal chart the MC is sesqui-quadrate the Moon in Leo (ASC) in the midpoint Sun/Kronos (of royal birth)
She became heir presumptive to her father in 1953 at 13 years old. (An heir presumptive is the person entitled to inherit a throne, peerage, or other hereditary honor).
And I note the amount of planets she has in the 1st Quadrant (from the East to the Midheaven) indicating a destiny decided early in her life.
