"In her interview to Moscow Times magazine ( April 22, 2013) Navalny's mother Ludmila, answering the question:"Was the delivery very painful?" said: "Not at all. At 7 am I came to hospital and at half past one pm gave birth (to Alexey)"

Navalny is reported to have died at 2:17 pm local time on 16 Feb 2024 at the penal colony at Kharp (near Salechard) in Russia (chart further down in the thread). According to the BBC:

His mother, Lyudmila Navalnaya, was reportedly told by the prison service he died on Friday after collapsing and falling unconscious during a walk, his team said.
She visited the colony on Saturday and was given an official notice stating the time of death as 14:17 local time (09:17 GMT), Ms Yarmysh said.
Another Navalny ally, Ivan Zhdanov, said the activist's mother was told he died of "sudden death syndrome" - a generic, vague term for a condition which causes sudden death from cardiac arrest with no apparent cause.

There is no certainty yet about the circumstances, time or even date of death, but here is a bi-wheel of his natal with the noon transits for yesterday, when the news was released.

It's early here, I'm on my 1st cup of coffee, and so not feeling like much of a mathematician - but, it looks like Navalny's directed ascendant would have been in the final bound/degree of Libra (in square to radix Saturn) recently and due to switch into Scorpio. Both bounds (last of Libra/first of Scorpio) are martial. Mars rules Navalny's 8th, and the recent dogpile of transits in early Aquarius (which included Mars) squared those bounds while applying oppositions to his radix Mars.

Also notable is the transiting Sun in the bi-wheel posted by Deb. Navalny's ascendant had profected to Leo in 2023 (where his radical Mars was located), making the Sun (and Mars) a time lord for the year. The Sun is exalted ruler of Navalny's radical 8th.

Interesting what you say about Leo and the Sun. I had looked at Navalny's Solar Return chart last autumn and had worried about his health. The 8th cusp is at 23 Leo and the Sun, at 13 Gemini of course, is on the cusp of the 6th house (15 Gemini) while acting as the 8th house ruler. I had assumed a period of weakness and illness, but the news of his death came as a great shock. The other notable thing about his solar return is the tight connection of Venus (29 Cancer) on his natal Mars, while Mars was also having its own return - at 9 Leo in the Solar Return. But still, given the circumstances of him being locked up at the time (solar return Moon in the 12th house and conj. his IC natally) this all seemed in keeping with a very bad year of oppression and debilitation. I had hoped this year was a low point from which things might get better in future.

I was just commenting in bleary-eyed, half-awake passing, so I hadn't even looked at the SR. Wow: when the pieces come together.

Looking at the last Saturn station which has Saturn on Nadir natally, Neptune (poisons) is at this moment at 0'0' sesquisquare the ASC. When its an outer planet it has to be tight of course. Transit Sun will conjoin Saturn-IC (World Chart) in the next 2 days so maybe some light is cast on the murder then.

The Sun is Hyleg in his chart reaching natal Saturn in the last degree of Cancer.

also - the source notes give a rounded off time of 130pm.. it might be close, or it might be off some..

This particular forum is expected to be mainly focused on charts using the tropical (mainstream) zodiac and I think that where threads are commenced, they should - if including a chart - provide the chart in the tropical system, even if it is in addition to a sidereal one, so that more members can join the discussion and follow along. But there is no problem members adding in charts from any other system, to add opinion or further the narrative from that point of view. So feel free on that.

But I do have an issue with that link you have given. That kind of weird controversy theory, ridiculing his wife who is supposedly acting like a greiving widow but can't stop smiling, and suggesting 'The Brits did it (according to Theresa May ..! ...), ... even if it wasn't offensive to reason, it would still be entirely out of place here. If you want to make an astrological argument that he is still alive, or whatever, go right ahead, but keep politics and conspiracy theories out of it. We only want astrological commentary here.
