Navalny is reported to have died at 2:17 pm local time on 16 Feb 2024 at the penal colony at Kharp (near Salechard) in Russia (chart further down in the thread). According to the BBC:

His mother, Lyudmila Navalnaya, was reportedly told by the prison service he died on Friday after collapsing and falling unconscious during a walk, his team said.
She visited the colony on Saturday and was given an official notice stating the time of death as 14:17 local time (09:17 GMT), Ms Yarmysh said.
Another Navalny ally, Ivan Zhdanov, said the activist's mother was told he died of "sudden death syndrome" - a generic, vague term for a condition which causes sudden death from cardiac arrest with no apparent cause.

Here is a tri wheel showing the current solar return positions in the centre wheel and the positions for the reported time of death on the outside. Neptune was angular on the MC by transit at the time of reported death and was angular on the desc in the SR/transit - seems fitting since I doubt anyone will ever be able to clear up the sense of mystery as to what really happened here.

Since having Deb and Jason around, I've been too lazy to do the charts.

I roughly calculated that the midpoint between Mars and Saturn is near 5 degrees of Leo. Mars/Saturn are usually points of crisis(death).

Saturn in Pisces is extremely cold. Saturn - cold, Pisces - cold.

Sudden exposure to extreme cold outdoors can potentially trigger a sudden cardiac death.

Navalny's natal Mars/Saturn "death midpoint" was activated by a recent Full Moon at 5+ degrees Aquarius-Leo, on the 25th of January 2024. Interestingly, this midpoint is also smack on Volodymyr Zelensky's natal Sun/Venus conjunction, as this full Moon took place on his most recent Solar return.

good catch aquastellea... the mars at the nep/pl is indeed a part of his natal chart too, so that is an interesting coincidence reflected in the transit, and solar arc mars you mention as well.. i have always found ebertins book cosi to be fairly dark, but it might be a reflection of the time he lived in ( 1901 to 1988 ) and that he wrote the book in 1940... he was a teacher in germany and was living thru some dark times in germany which have some interesting parallels with the world we are living in today..

using sidereal - 2023 solar return ascendant is at 15 virgo 37... navalnys natal pluto is 15 virgo 33... that is pretty close... navalnys ascendant degree is 4 virgo 51... transit neptune in the 2023 solar return chart is at 3 pisces 25 - very close to the descendant of the 23 solar retun chart.. see biwheel chart below..



2023 profections is a 12th house year - leo rising profection... this puts a real emphasis on the 12th house moon in his natal chart.. see biwheel below.

Much may be said about his chart.
But one thing that strike me is his natal Mars squaring the nodes in the bendings ( South Node bending in this case).
A planet in the southern bendings is seen by some astrologers as sometimes being a "Sacrifice to the collective".

Well it's very interesting to see those 3 points in the 7th house (describing Navalny) because I know those degree's very well - for better or worse - and would like to quote the eminent astrologer Dane Rudhyar on them -
