This morning I opened Reuters, and was struck by the front page image and its captions:
Hundreds of helmeted police descended onto the campus of the University of California at Los Angeles after darkness fell on Wednesday, preparing to clear out a pro-Palestinian protest camp attacked the previous night by pro-Israel supporters.

The unrest on campuses across the US has been going on for a couple of weeks now, so neither the headline, nor the imagery of armed officers on school grounds was what really caught my attention. Instead, I noticed right away that Jupiter is visible in the picture. While I can't ascertain the exact moment the image was taken, the article mentions that officers "descended on the campus as darkness fell" - aka: sunset. Of course, the astrological side of my brain, well aware that Jupiter has as some of its main significations law and the creation of benevolent order, was curious as to what a chart for the image might have to reveal about this moment.

According to timeanddate.com sunset in Los Angeles, CA was at 19:37 yesterday. Here's the chart for the approximate time that the photo was taken:

Scorpio rises, Mars (war, protests) in Aries occupies the 5th house (All public places of enjoyment and recreation, parks, publicly owned state buildings, national art galleries, etc.; Schools and the education system.) and also rules the 6th (Public employees and services such as the civil service, the armed forces; the police when they serve the people.).

Mars applies to Pluto in the 3rd (The press; The education system; Public opinion and issues concerning freedom of speech; international and common languages; It also rules neighbouring nations and documents that relate to international agreements.)

There's much more to be said about this chart (please feel free to comment), like the fact that the luminaries are both on angles - the Sun, itself a symbol of authority, and here ruling the MC, so in a sense doubling down on that signification, placed on the cusp of the house of open opposition / the Moon a general symbol for "the people" and also crowds on the IC or "root" of the chart while ruling the 9th house of higher ed, moral issues and foreign lands. And, of course, both luminaries apply to Jupiter, it being in a house that pertains to Whether war or peace may be expected; Treaties and agreements with other nations.

It is interesting to note that the recent Jupiter/Uranus conjunction on April the 20th-21st, took place exactly opposite Joe Biden's natal Mercury (ruler of his H10 and H7, in the 12th), while transit Mars in the chart above (Aries 1:07) is exactly on the IC of the US Sibly chart (subversion), opposite Biden's Neptune, which sits on the MC of this Sibly chart. The above chart's Asc is exactly conjunct Biden's natal Mars in his H12, ruler of his H12 (secret enemies? secret organizations? secrets?) and H5, while the transit Sun (lord of his natal H9 ) is opposite his Mars.

As it seems, the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction is a recurring theme when it comes to anti-war protests in US universities. Jupiter and Uranus were conjunct by sign during the student protests against the Vietnam war back in 1968-1970.

Jupiter governs the derivative 10th house from the 5th representing the police.

Jupiter is in Taurus, the sign of Mars' detriment, so the police are coming to arrest the students.

The Moon is in the derivative 12th house from the 5th house, applying square to Jupiter, indicating that some students have been arrested.

Tr.Mars is in opposition to Biden's Neptune, suggesting that Biden intends to handle this matter discreetly. And Mars is applying to the contra-antiscion of turned L12 Saturn, suggesting that although some students have been arrested, it seems that the arrested students will be released soon.

Previously, I didn't pay much attention to this matter. It seems to be more serious than I had imagined.

However, it appears that there won't be any further escalation at the moment.

The Columbia University campus occupation began on April 17, 2024, with Mars in Pisces besieged by Saturn and Neptune.

I feel that this student protest will not last for a long time. Saturn/Neptune represents suppression and repression.
