Neptune and the money

What would you expect from a horoscope or transits when you come to a large sum of money? I have experienced this twice, an inheritance and a professional bonus. In both cases there was a transit of the planet Neptune, once over my sun and once over my Venus. I hadn't expected Neptune with something like that. The Sun rules the 8th house in my birth chart and it was a high inheritance from my father. Venus rules my 6th house and 150% of an annual salary came from my company as a bonus. Neptune rules my AC and my 3rd house, where both transits took place.

Hi Jakob,

I'm not familiar with wealth being related to Neptune by transit very often unless we're talking about embezzlement or other insidious types of things. For example, I've seen a few cases of identity theft robberies where Neptune was involved. I'm definitely not saying your good fortune had anything to do with that—please don't take it that way. But I am curious now, whether your father's or your profession involve(d) Neptune-associated things - chemicals, related to the sea, etc? Could that have something to do with it?

As for the work bonus you mentioned, was anything happening with your 10th or 11th houses or their rulers; how about your 2nd house? I'm not sure I'd consider a bonus at work typical of something the 6th house would bring.

Hi Jason, such processes are of course always a little more complex than can be reduced to the increase in wealth. Regarding the professional bonus: There is a procedure used to calculate this bonus, which was circumvented in this case. Because I would actually have been entitled to a bonus about 3 times as high. But the top boss had a problem giving me such a bonus.

A colleague also happened to notice this and it triggered an envy complex in her and she then began to bully me behind my back and accuse me of having done some kind of cheating with the boss. For me, the ruler of the 6th house is also the ruler of the 5th and 10th house. In the case of inheritance, my parents made a will that named me as the sole heir because they were afraid that the daughter from their son-in-law's first marriage would get hold of an inheritance that my parents would give to their daughter. My sister was already in need of care. This fear later proved to be justified. In a roundabout way, I gave a lot of my inheritance to my sister when her husband died. Jakob

Ah. Very interesting, Jakob. So in some sense, the money "dissolved" or was "washed away" in both cases; like someone trying to cup water with their hands.

You said the these incidents occurred while transiting Neptune was moving through your radix 3rd house, correct? And you have Neptune on the ASC in your birth radix?

So you're saying here that your Sun and Venus are in Pisces in the 3rd? Pisces being associated with your 3rd would give Jupiter jurisdiction there (or, if you are using the modern planets as rulers, which it seems like you might being doing here, you'd allow Jupiter co-rulership). Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces, has a universal/general association with wealth. I wonder if or how it fits in here somewhere.

It makes sense that your siblings were a major part of the inheritance story. That's in line with the 3rd house's standard significations. In the bonus situation, the parts the work colleague and your boss played is an interesting and more subtle one though - the 3rd being the derived 6th from the 10th - or, you bosses employees/your work colleagues.

Thanks for sharing those details.

Hi Jason, no, I have Netune in the 11. Haus in Trine to Venus in 3. I have Sagittarius ascendant with Jupiter at 2, opposition Uranus at 8, and a very precise trine between Venus and Neptune. At the time of my father's death, from whom I inherited, the most precise aspect was that of Chiron on natal Neptune and therefore on that trine. The probate process ended when Neptune was transiting my sun, very soon after my father's death, because everything was clearly regulated in his will. When my mother was still alive, my parents took me and my sister with them to the probate court when they made their will in order to create maximum transparency and openness. I suspect that was noted. In general, I don't have an "erotic" relationship with money, social status symbols and material values. If my sister's private situation had been less problematic, I would have asked my parents to leave most of it to her. My sister had a severe stroke when she was 43, so I took care of our parents as she grew older. Jakob

With Saturn ruling the 2nd house, I wouldn't think so. Saturn doesn't exactly conjure images of eroticism in my mind. :)

It sounds like you do have a good deal of compassion and care, though. That's nice to hear. I have a Pisces stellium in my own radix, a prominent Jupiter, too, and can relate to wanting to help others, and some of the other things you referred to like: little care for social status symbols, not much impressed by material accumulation.
