Re: on the trivialization of horary practice 25 by Ouranos I want to share with you a few tips to improve your Horary resolution score. Every morning, after waking up, I ask 'Will I be able to get out of my bed?' Mind you that you assign the ASC to you and not to your bed. Make sure you assign right and left on the right side of the chart not to get up on the wrong side. If you watch the TV show 'How to Get Out of Bed', you will be on the edge of your sheet. Which is showed up with an early ASC. King or Queen size beds should be assigned some dignities here. Your ruler under the sunbeams indicates that you are under cover. An urge to get out quickly of your bed to empty your bladder is usually indicated by a Libra rising and beware if it is a late degree. Unfit to be read - Go back to sleep, which happens more often on weekends or holidays. A 4th House in water sign indicates that you are sleeping in a water bed. A 4th House ruler in the 7th - you are not home. Who did you meet last night? Finally, to the original question, the answer is always a Yes which should put you you in the list of the most successful Horary practitioners! Blessings! Quote Tue May 21, 2024 9:27 pm

To date the most important question to me was “Will XXX survive this crisis?” and I answered it wrong and maybe this did some good. Quote Wed May 22, 2024 7:30 am
Re: on the trivialization of horary practice 28 by james_m ouranos that was funny! thanks... you capture the essence of serious astrological inquiry in a nutshell, lol... georgius what i mean by that statement is that questions are a reflection on the person.. that's all.. depending on the nature of the person, it will dictate the nature of the questions... that is what i think... i am not sure if that makes it any less confusing for you.. it is a philosophical idea that not everyone may share.. it still doesn't address the seriousness or frivolousness of the question... for an answer to that, one would have to examine their motives more deeply.. ------------------- here is a quote from evangeline adams on horary.. "This branch of the science must not be used for asking questions out of mere curiosity or in a spirit of levity. Whenever a horary figure seems meaningless, it is either because the question is not worth while or it was erected at a time when nothing very vital was pending, and in such cases the natal chart should be relied upon." ~Astrology Your Place in the Sun Quote Wed May 22, 2024 4:04 pm

Re: on the trivialization of horary practice 31 by Wei James, I feel that I can ask and answer any question or matter, no matter how trivial or boring. The only limitations are time, energy, and my own understanding of the world—I cannot find indications, ideas, or logic from a horoscope. Quote Mon May 27, 2024 4:47 pm

Re: on the trivialization of horary practice 33 by Calli Ouranos your usage actually is event or forensic astrology, not horary. What you are then trying to predict is, which of the limitless futures will actuate in matter. And since you are the creator of your future, you are second guessing yourself. In a quantum world, each and every instance contains the entirety of creation…including chaos which is the wild card around which we have the ability to be masters of our own fates, a promise made to us. But I do make use of event astrology to show me the motivations contained in a moment. Always very interesting. Keeps boredom at bay as I while away time at some coffee place watching the crowd around me. Quote Tue May 28, 2024 7:38 am

All you need to do is regard it is potential creation point. Which is probable for you to have selected to form in matter? The thing is nobody knows what is in your soul s far as growth…and formulation of experiences to feed that growth is only known to you. Your earth brain is clueless…so its a feed for subconscious to hint to earth brain so the channel between mind and lower brain better formed..clearer. Hints are everywhere. Re: on the trivialization of horary practice 35 by Jason Calli, Thanks for sharing some of your thoughts here in the thread. I enjoyed reading them. Calli wrote: But I do make use of event astrology to show me the motivations contained in a moment. Always very interesting. Keeps boredom at bay as I while away time at some coffee place watching the crowd around me. I'm glad to hear someone else say this. I like to do the same. I prefer it over other forms of astrology these days. I find the exercise simultaneously invigorates and relaxes me. Calli wrote: What you are then trying to predict is, which of the limitless futures will actuate in matter... you are the creator of your future ... each and every instance contains the entirety of creation ... I think I mostly agree with you here. My sense is that Being is Time. The idea that time 'flows' and is separate from us is just a useful illusion that helps us make sense of things. People and things don't move through time. We are time itself. And now is the only real-time. The past is not where we think it is, even though we act like it is. Only thoughts, photos, and other things from the present can help us remember it. And right now is also the future because nothing can happen in the future that doesn't depend on how things are right now. Only this moment is our real life. We have a bit of a "choose your own adventure" situation, but (and maybe this is where we see things differently here, Calli?) with limits. In my humble opinion, this has implications for the fate vs. free will debate: It allows for both and negates the argument altogether. thoughts are just thoughts Quote Tue May 28, 2024 8:56 am
Re: on the trivialization of horary practice 36 by Jason Many, many hours spent listening to/getting lost in the album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips helped me get a sense of some of these conclusions. It's as good as any ancient text (or modern theory), if you ask me. ;) thoughts are just thoughts Quote Tue May 28, 2024 10:09 am
