To turn or not to turn, for "general topics"

1
Hi everyone,

When I read J. Frawley's Horary Textbook, some years ago, I noticed the following passage:
Even though the child is not usually the querent in these questions, do not turn the chart to locate the school: use the radical 9th or 3rd houses, not the 9th or 3rd from the 5th. Although we speak of 'my school', the school does not belong to the child. [page 220, non revised edition]

I've recently had a querent, who's a mom. She asked about her adult child, as relating to a new serious relationship he's in.
Apparently the two will probably get married soon, and she wanted to know whether her son would see her less, as his girlfriend is from a foreign nationality.
So I thought 'I might as well check his turned 9th house (9th from the 5th), and its ruler, as he may as well be travelling a lot more, due to all this'.
But then I found myself in a quandary.
Also thought of calculating the turned lot of journeys (originally, ASC+Cusp 9th-Ruler 9th), but realized that the issue persists.

This is the point at which I'm returning to Frawley.
I realized I'm not certain whether I should use the radical 9th, or the turned 9th (from the 5th).
Radical 9th cause journeys aren't personal in one way (we take a flight, which is also available to other people), but they are personal in another way (buying a ticket to a particular flight, which is useful to me).
What do you think?

I think in this situation, a turned chart is needed because the question and concerns are related to the querent.

Your approach to interpreting the chart makes sense:

1. Look at the significators of the mother and the son to see how far apart they are and how many obstacles are between them.

2. See which of the mother or the son travels frequently.

Ouranos:
L1 and L5 whether separating or applying - good logic.
And yes, you understand the situation correctly.

Wei:
I'm not sure I'm familiar with your approach.
1. If, say, you have one or two planets between L1 and L5. How would it matter? How would you judge such a thing?
2. How would you do that?

A general note:
If you have an opinion, or something to say, about my main question. I would appreciate it.
That is, should we use the radical 9th house for 'travel' topics in this chart, or the turned (from the 5th) 9th house?

Not that I want to deter you from turning the chart Dima but my concern would be more on what the mother asked or not.
Did she specifically ask if her son would travel?
Otherwise if you find the ruler of the 5th in the turned 9th or related to the 9th somehow, that would answer your question.

Have a nice day,
Ouranos
Blessings!

Ouranos hi again,

She asked if she will see her son less, due to what seems to be a serious relationship, which may lead to his marriage.
The girlfriend being from a foreign nationality.

Here's the chart in regiomontanus, although I'm less interested in its delineation, and more interested in the theoretical point I've raised in the original post.

L5 is in in the turned 4th, and in the radical 8th (unless you use WS, and then it's in the radical 9th).
