Question on Morinus' methods 1 by markrusborn Colleagues, I have a question for everyone who practices Morinus' methods. Morinus writes that a planet is first determined by the class of things with which it has an analogy, for example, the Sun with the father, glory, or a powerful person in the native's life. Then, the planet is determined by the house. For example, the Sun in the 4th house will indicate the native's father but will not indicate their glory, etc. In this regard, I have a question. Suppose there is Mercury, which is not connected with Venus in any way - neither through disposition, nor through aspect, nor through the star of Venus' nature. And this Mercury is in the 5th house. Can such a Mercury indicate bodily pleasures in the absence of a connection with Venus? Does Morinus have similar examples? Thank you in advance for your answer. Re: Question on Morinus' methods 2 by Dima Gur Aleksei hi, As the 5th house is the house of pleasures (Venus' joy, and place according to the Chaldean order of the planets from the ASC), any planet in the 5th can plausibly signify something of that nature (pleasures). Also we have to see which houses Mercury rules, but that maybe besides the point. Disclaimer: this reply isn't based on Morin's methods. https://www.gurastro.com Quote Tue Jul 23, 2024 12:17 am
