Sue:
although I have no idea why you have put her on the cusp of the 7th house. She belongs on the 11th house cusp as voyagergirl pointed out earlier in this thread.
She is my ex's fiance, my ex is the 7th, so I gave her the 1st, 7th from the 7th, which makes sense to me.
I did not give her the 11th because she is not my friend. At best I've said "Hello" to her maybe twice in my life time, and that was more than 2 years ago. I don't think the 11th is for mere acquaintances, it is for friends.
I think I could even have given her the 7th, as a person who can not be placed in any other house, the "other" person.

One of the reasons there is so much confusion about the chart is that the rules keep changing. You cannot keep changing the significators and expect any reasonable delineation. In your first post you clearly gave the 7th house to the woman you were asking about.
Since she is simply an acquaintance, I placed her as the 7th,
Now you are giving her the 1st house. This makes a big difference. Since this chart is very much about you, I would suggest that you need to be on the 1st house cusp.

You're right. It seems like I started out with giving her the 7th, and then based on all the responses, ended up changing my mind and giving her the 1st.

OK.
Even if this chart is about me, I'm still asking a question about her, so she has to be in this horary somewhere, and so does my ex, who is now her fiance and soon to be husband. Based on what I have said in my last few posts, which house would you give to her, 11th or 7th? And would the ex be the 7th from whatever she is? I would defer to your judgement because you are an objective 3rd party and tons more experience, and then maybe this chart will make more sense.

Or maybe we need to go back to where Deb quoted Olivia Barclay in one of her earlier posts, and what several of you have already said; that this horary is not capable of giving an accurate answer because of the type of question that is being asked...
If your question is indirect, so will the answer be. Sometimes it may take a while to understand your own motive in asking a question.
The planetary hour ruler agreement keeps throwing me off and having me believe this horary is still valid!

Thank you.

I do not mean to be presumptuous but I would imagine that if this woman was marrying someone else you really wouldn't be that interested in whether she got married or not. It seems to be the fact that she is marrying your ex that is the concern. I am wondering why you didn't ask the question of whether he will get married or not. This may have made things clearer in the chart if this is what was on your mind.

Even though the planetary hour ruler is in agreement, sometimes the chart will continue to throw up confusion. It seems that this chart is one of those times. The fact that you are confused about where to place the significators is a sign of this. Since this is your chart, we can only be guided by what your decisions are about this. I personally think that it is good practice to decide on the houses we will be using before we draw up a chart. It shows that we have the question clear in our minds. If we have trouble with placing the significators it indicates that the question is not clear. It might mean that you have to let this chart go.

Sue,
If we have trouble with placing the significators it indicates that the question is not clear. It might mean that you have to let this chart go.
I was already of that opinion, based on everyone's responses, but you said in a prior post:
The symbolism in this chart is about you. It is not about the fiancee. Read that way, it makes perfect sense...
so I was curious as to what your placement of significators was, based on this comment.

This issue came up earlier in this thread, but this has turned out to be quite a long thread so you might have missed it. This is what I said:
I could have asked the question as you said, but questions like that always confuse me - he would have gotten the 7th, and she the 1st, but then I would have had trouble separating myself out of the equation. Because I had a direct relationship with him, I would have gotten the first as well! So which house is me and which one is her? I thought a better way would be to ask a question about her instead of him. While its true that we ended up with the same houses, I still managed (at least I think I did) to take myself out. Do you agree?
I have to tell you honestly that this question was asked out of pure curiosity and I freely admit that I stand guilty of asking a "trivial" question, because that's exactly what it was. I heard these stories about her, and yes, I wondered if this marriage will take place or not. Can any of you truly and honestly say that you don't think back about an ex if you hear stories about him or his significant other? Well, you may not do horaries about them, it's true.... . But all kidding aside, I certainly wish her no harm, and am neutral regarding whether or not it will happen. Believe it or not, I have moved on and my life is richer for it.
And finally, Pete responded to me and I think this is the only response in which there is an indication of a "Yes":

Pete:
She is shown by Jupiter, lord of the 7th, and her partner by Mercury, lord of 1st. The fact that you, the querent, are also the 1st, is irrelevant here, imo. There is no aspect forming between Mercury and Jupiter and no reception, translation or collection of light, so my initial judgement would be to say "no, she won't marry this man." However I don't think we can overlook the Moon, which here rules her 5th and goes to an immediate sextile of Mercury, which rules her partner. The 5th is the house of romance and fun, so this suggests that while she may not marry, she is likely to initiate something that he will be in happy agreement with. The Moon then goes on to conjoin Venus, natural ruler of marriage, so it may well be that a marriage or some other significant union may take place in 5 units of time. Given that the Moon is in Taurus and a cadent house, we could be looking at 5 months. In summary then, the primary rulers say "no", yet the Moon says "possibly" or "she'd like to and may wish to move in that direction."

I've been giving this question a bit more thought and to me, the signification is now clear.

What has "he" got to do with this? You don't have to take yourself out of the equation T, you have to take him out. The question was "Will she marry?" or something like that. Therefore, as per the normal rules of horary, you - the querent - are the sig' of the first house, and she is the sig' of whatever house is relevant. I suggest the 7th since she isn't a friend or a relative. Your question was about her, and an action she might take. Who she may take that action with (ie: marry) is of no concern to the universe, which seeks only to answer your question as stated: 'Will She Marry?' Therefore you needn't look for a house to represent him, just one for her. Get it?

The Moon, among other things, shows the flow of events and clearly moves to the sextile of Mercury (you recieving news of her change of name prior to her marriage) and then on to the conjunction of Venus, which would be the wedding itself, since Venus is the natural ruler of weddings.
What intrigues me is that using her primary significator, Jupiter, there is no indication of marriage at all. On the contrary, it shows her to be in rather bad shape: retrograde, cadent, and besieged. Quite how this is reflected in her reality is anybody's guess, but certainly the Moon's condition and aspects suggest a forthcoming union with a 9th house flavour to it. I'm sure that after the event we'd all like to know how this particular aspect of the situation panned out (pun intended).

Finally let us reflect on the position of Uranus on the 7th cusp and chuckle at the amount of controversy that this post has generated. How many views and responses has it had now? Well over a thousand, right?

cheers...:)
