i don't understand the uk political system, but it seems the uk never shook off the importance of its previous era of being run by kings and queens... maybe this is reflected in the 1801 chart with saturn in leo - 45 the ascendant and ruler of the sun down at the roots of the chart.. i am sure their is some rational explanation for how the royal family - (is it largely or really only ceremonial? ) interfaces with the parliamentary system or do they pull a lot more strings that i realize?? venus ruler of the ascendant and first house is in a wide opposition to this same saturn and an even closer square to neptune in the 2nd - all forming a t square, or even a grand square if you want to include mars in the 8th sign as well..

A reflection of the total disarray and wipe out the Conservatives..." - it is the closest planet to the angles either way if you go with the chart time deb has offered of 1217pm... if it is earlier as mark suggests - neptune is brought closer to the descendant... and yes - what of the moon combust??? nice theory about it being okay when it is in its own sign.. does anyone want to offer there first hand experience on this viewpoint?? regardless of that - moon in the square of the nodal axis is not a happy moon as i see it.. the sun is also in the square of the nodal axis and venus is also essentially combust - ruler of the ascendant..

I’m sorry I’m a bit late on commenting the chart posted by Deb but , for the second time, I lost my post trying to save it and I’m replacing it with a … longer version, the software this site works on logs you out automatically if you spend too much time writing a post… but one can realize that it is not anymore logged in only when trying to save the post.
My personal opinion is that the chart posted by Deb is an event chart that can be treated as an electional chart but planets and houses are to be given only the symbolism used in mundane astrology.
I’m also going to use, as per my usual practice, only the traditional seven planets and Regiomontanus.
I’m not a British citizen and my opinion is merely astrological.
From an astrological point of view the chart is a very positive one, the best possible, I couldn’t have chosen a better moment for Mr. Starmer to be appointed as PM
Generally speaking in a electional chart the astrologer must, as main target, fortify the moon and the main significators, those representing querent and matter involved and find a positive relationship (aspects and receptions) among them.
In this chart all the above task are accomplished, let’s look at them one by one
In this chart the moon is the main actor, she has three meanings.
The general significator of the matter.
The people and its mood.
The PM itself (as the lord of the 10th)
The moon here could not be better than this, In its sign, close to the MC, in the 10th house and free from afflictions.
The moon is not debilitated by the proximity to the sun for two reasons, the first is, as already pointed out by Mark, that she is in her domicile and cannot be harmed by the sun, the second reason will be explained here below.
Venus is the second planet to be analyzed and it is in good astrological condition, in its triplicity and angular, it represent the whole country, the Nation.
The possible affliction of venus from the sun is not to be taken in consideration as the sun is the third important planet in this chart (for it is the lord of the 11th house)
Either in Horary or in electional I consider the proximity of sun or even a conjunction with it as a normal condition not a negative one if the sun is one of the principal significators.
Here the sun represent the parliament, the councils and all the administrative means that are at disposal of the PM for doing its job, I let the sun to represent here the ministers as well.
The sun is strategically placed in between moon and venus, in the same house and sign, stating that PM, parliament and country are in the same boat and are all close one to each other, well connected and the parliament itself will do the trading between PM and country, I couldn’t have managed to find a better position for these three planets.
Finally the only other important planet is Saturn (lord of the 4th) representing the opposition i.e the former PM, who lost the vote and the seat, it is retrograde, peregrine and cadent, said enough.
If we look at the receptions we find all the planet in the 10th house having good reception among them.
Last note : no hard aspects between the seven planets.
The only negative point could be the position of the South Node in the 1st house but usually I don't give much importance to the nodes

Is this chart promising good for the new PM? I would say yes but I’m not so sure all the promises will be kept, I personally have less trust on electional astrology than Horary… just a very personal opinion... probably due to not enough time dedicated to the practice of it.

Well I think we can say that the ''honeymoon'' is well and truly over, Calli, It lasted a few days - or even weeks for the completely brainwashed - whilst jet setting around the globe looking smugly triumphant, calm and presidential - he had over a decade of practice at the DPP of course - sadly he is now fading more quickly than a summer bloom entering the freezing blasts of Winter.
