James was wondering concerning the chart(s) for Germany. Federal Republic: May 24th, 1949, 00:00 Local time. No doubt about that.
But what about the 1871 chart? There are two of them a) Jan 1st 1871, 0:00 LMT (see above) b) proclamation Jan 18 1871, Versailles.
a) would be the right choice. The new state de facto & de iure came into being at midnight January 1st.
But: Does that chart still "work"?
I think, yes - however there should be some evidence - which, I think can easily be provided.
We're dealing with another de iure situation:
In the 70s the highest German court (called Bundesverfassungsgericht, comparable to the US Supreme Court) twice stated that the state that had come into being in 1871 had never ceased to exist. Some good news for the right-winged nationalists one might say? - Not really - as so often, when dealing with German affairs, things are getting complicated. One has to look back into the first post war years, say 1945-1949. The British, the Americans, the French and, yes, also the Soviets were not willing to blot out the German state founded in 1871 . (They did not hesitate to do so with Prussia, February 1947 - which in my mind was a serious mistake.)
- Why not? - They insisted on Germany being legally responsible for the terrible crimes that had been committed by that state. Had that 1871-state been formally abolished, it would have been difficult to hold that country and its population responsible for what had happened.
I might provide some evidence, proving that the 1871 chart is still "active".

Thx for reminding me.
When can one say a mundane chart is certified, proved?
Just a few words about that chart. Pluto at 17,x Taurus. 17,x Taurus/Scorpio is an axis of most vital importance for Germany:
See what happened on days with the sun on that axis: November 9th, 1918, November 9th, 1923, November 9th, 1938, May 9th, 1945, November 9th, 1989...
And Sun at 10.x degrees Capricorn. This is the degree of the AC of the chart of the Federal Republic, 1949. And when the wall came down there was the SA-NE-conjunction at 10-11 Capricorn.
So that chart, I think, is still exerting a very strong influence. I might insert one or two charts dealing with the present situation, illustrating that.

hi lunlumo

i don't want to neglect this topic, but at the same time i want to write a post on a larger issue for me which is directly connected to germany - the european union... i plan on doing this in the next few days, but in the meantime i would like to ask you what you think of the upcoming saturn-neptune conjunction in opposition to the mars and ascendant in this 1871 chart... do you think it is possible germany decides to leave the european union based on this?? more on all this later.. cheers james

thanks lunlumo!

i know it is a difficult question, so don't worry about providing an answer! i have been reading the work of wolfgang streeck lately... you probably know who this fellow is... https://wolfgangstreeck.com/ he has helped me to gain better insight on germany at present, then i had before.. i read this pdf yesterday, and another one also which helps shed more light on germany..
https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/1 ... 1005-4.pdf

i did a post where i mentioned this astro set up in germanys 1871 chart, in relation to the european union.. when i think of it all, it is not only the role germany plays with regard to ukraine, but also towards israel - it becomes pivotal in how germany moves forward here with regard to the european union.. you could also read my post on the european union -> viewtopic.php?t=12762
and respond on that thread as well.. cheers james

I actually can't imagine Germany leaving the EU. First: The UK doesn't seem really satisfied with what followed after the Brexit. This has been seen as some kind of experiment in Germany, and most people do not think the country should say bye-bye to the EU. Of course the majority of the people complain about the EU: red tape, too much control etc. But in times like these - the Russian war in the Ukraine, Israel and the Near East, serious problems with the German economy - and, most important: the problems of migration - people feel the bonds within the Continent should be strong. - Then: Actually, after having had a closer look at the German charts, I do not think there' ll be a "Dexit". Even the Afd (Alternative für Deutschland), nationalistic, partly even neo fascist, no longer wants the country to leave - knowing Germany would be without close connexions overnight. The country will have to face a serious threat in 2025/2026: Putin's Russia. Maybe I might give some more evidence concerning that...

Now, the chart above is a so-called Septar (hardly known outside German speaking countries). It covers the years 2025 to 2032. It works like this: A solar can also work on a larger scale. Like this: First solar (first birthday ) deals with the second year of the native. It also deals with the years 7-14. Second solar (2nd birthday): years 14 -21). Etc. These Septars were found by the German astrologer W.Döbereiner, but it may well be they were known before him (Abu Mashar?) Anyway, these septars are very helpful..I think a lot of what' happen in Germany may be found here in that septar (?) thanks lunlumo

i haven't heard of Wolfgang Döbereiner

https://second.wiki/wiki/wolfgang_dc3b6bereiner
"The seven rhythm and the ten rhythm are used in particular."

his concept of expanding the time ratio as you've shared here is novel... 7's and 10s

the chart is a solar return for 1892 - 21 years after the birth of the chart in 1871... 21 x 7 = 147 .... 1871 = 147 = 2018... so maybe for this chart to apply 2025- 2032, it has to be added slightly differently, or i am missing 7 years...

See the dates in the chart, bottom right. The chart above is from Dec 31st 1892 - i.e. it*s the solar for 1893. So 22 years after the birth. And you have to take into account, that the birth chart itself is the first septar, 1872 = second, and 1873 =third septar meaning the years 14-21 ... etc. and the solar for 1893 is septar no 23 (not 22) . 23*7= 161. 1871 +161= 2032 - meaning the ende of those seven years (2025-2032).
One might have a closer look at what happened in 1893. The moon conj. PL.NE - i.e. MO=PL/NE - possibly meaning "a nation jeopordized by becoming disintergrated, possibly dissolved"?

right - that 1892 date was from dec 31st for the jan 1st 1893 solar return year, so yes - 2025 - 2032 if this 7 concept has some merit... i don't know.. it is yet another plausible symbolic means of gaining insight into where germany is at present.. i haven't tried it.. i think one of the biggest challenges of mundane astrology is relying on one particular chart for germany when there are a number of them to choose from.. i think the older charts for germany or any country for that matter, may have greater bearing and relevance though.. i can say that much.. i'd probably stick with the more traditional methods of 1 solar year per year, as opposed to 7, along with transits and solar arc directions, but that is where my comfort level rests... this is not to say these other approaches don't have merit, but it becomes a real smorgasbord of different symbolic techniques that can be chosen from and i mostly go for the chicken chow mein if you know what i mean!
