My Pay change

1
It has been over 4-5 months since I asked my boss for a pay correction, and nothing has happened. I asked him again yesterday about his plan for making this change. He said he is talking to HR and is working on it, but he still hasn't committed. This lack of promise is very wishy-washy for me, and I worry that it may never materialize.
I think I will now have to help myself. I'm not sure how much longer I can wait, given that if I change jobs, I will lose my five years of severance, so I will lose my security blanket.
I asked if A would give me a compensation correction in the next 6 months.
Planetary hour ruler: Saturn. Planetary day ruler: Venus
I am Jupiter, in retrograde in the house of Gemini; 6th house, Mercury is in the bounds of Jupiter. Jupiter is in adversity. I am tired, exhausted and frustrated with this issue, almost losing hope. 6th house depicting service, job.
Moon is exalted in the 5th house, so I am currently in a good position, and POF conjunct DC, and trine MC should play out well for me in terms of job, there should be some success or recognition coming in (not sure about money)
Gain from a job would be 11th house, ruler for that is Mars and is the fixed house of 8th, Venus my co-ruler has aspect tiny but nothing firm. Mars and Sun are in the face of each other, decoding a not-so-pleasant time going on, a sort of financial crisis.
Sun-Moon's opposition makes me wonder if there will be more conflicts regarding this matter with him.
Honestly, I don’t see a clear yes anywhere on this chart
Please throw more light and help advise

hi ashwsh,

It appears to me that this chart fails the hour agreement test: the planetary hour is Saturn, and the ASC ruler is Jupiter. They are not the same, not in the same triplicity, and not of the same complexion (SA cold and dry, JU warm and moist).

I admit I find the hour agreement business confusing. I just reread this article on the subject and the above is how I see it based on that.

https://skyscript.co.uk/hour_agreement.pdf

I am not a professional astrologer, and if anyone has a different interpretation of this I'll be more than happy to read it.

Sorry I can't give you more encouraging news.

I want to point to Sue Wards more extensive writings on that matter:
  • “Sue Ward’s Traditonal Horary Course” Lesson 9, p. 151ff. and
  • “Sue Ward’s Collected Essays – Reflections on Traditional Astrology” Essay III – “An Introduction to the Astrology of William Lilly: Considerations Before Judgement”, p.25ff
    Her summary of this essay:
Sue Ward wrote:The Considerations are no strictures, but they should not be discarded. […] If any of these rules were in operation with no descriptive reason, then it would be better not to give judgement to a client.”

Think of it for a moment.
She has a timeline of 6 months to her question.
Don't you think she can expect a Yes or a No within that timeframe?
Go back to the charts you said were unfit to be read and you will find an answer to the question.
Like Saturn in the 1st. The querent is not 'confident' about her question.
Saturn in the 7th. The astrologer is not 'confident' reading the chart.
In both cases, the chart has an answer and is not unfit to be read. More difficult maybe, more so if there is a timing (Saturn) related to the question.

Ashwsh,
As much as I would like to help you out with your question, I am orphan of my computer right now and still not decided of what to buy and when.
(Enjoying my new freedom!)

Hope you get your raise,
Ouranos
Blessings!

Thank you for the advice, Georgius and Ouranus. I will check out Sue Ward, who I see has a youtube video on this very subject! Ouranus, once you get your computer issues resolved, you're more than welcome to try reading the chart if you think it's readable.

As for me, I think I need to stick with the rules as they are known to me at this time. I remember Deb Houlding saying somewhere, 'We can read any chart, but we can't answer any question.'

P.S. I've been into astrology since the 80's (with periods of inactivity), but knew nothing about traditional astrology or horary until maybe a year ago.

Thank you stargeezer,

Every chart is readable. I wish when astrologers say that a chart is 'unfit to be read' from strictures that they follow up with the answer and see that the chart was readable.
But it is true that we can't answer any question. I have my own strictures to a question. If someone is asking 'Will I fall in love', that is a red flag. Poor intention, no candidate on line, generality, not personal.
When facing a general question or if you think that the chart is not readable for you, the way around is to keep asking questions to clarify the intent.
When you think that the querent has clarified his question and you understood his intent then you can say 'So your question is...' and maybe they can ask 'Will I have a love relationship with John?'
Understanding the intent is very important for the astrologer. And a stricture is when the querent is asking a question but thinking of something else.
Another way to see if the chart or the question is not readable is if someone is asking about a career move and you see no relationship to the 10th House.
I have asked enough questions for myself with Saturn in the 1st House and have learned to go beyond my own fears by asking for help. Fear can be part of the question.
And you will see with a clear and pressing question that the planets, houses and aspects will be crystal clear.

Cheers,
Ouranos
Blessings!

My experience seems to suggest quite the contrary. For some time I didnʼt take the considerations into account but then I saw wrong predictions often came out of so called non radical charts. Therefore until then my very first step is to check if the chart is valid. A spectacular wrong prediction I made was this.

I agree that non-radical charts nevertheless describe the situation, but I have to admit that it is hard for me to understand it. I think that is what Sue Ward is saying (my accentuation) :
Sue Ward wrote: If any of these rules were in operation with no descriptive reason, then it would be better not to give judgement to a client.
Maybe you are saying the same and the difference only lies in the use of the term “readable”? The circumstances to which the considerations point show that the intent is not in accordance with the question? The intent of the questioner or that of the astrologer or both?

Sorry ashwsh to overextend about your question.
Tomorrow ME L7 opp JU L1 in MR, you might receive news from your request.
ME and JU are not antagonistic by nature but JU being R suggests a delay and a way of doing things where you or your boss cut the corners short.
I understand that it might be difficult to get the full picture or an honest reason on why a decision is reached but a compromise is needed here.
Adding the MO opp SU in 6 units (days) while the SU is in the 11th of raise.
The whole situation comes to a head.

Please let us know how it unfolds for you,
Ouranos
Blessings!

Hi Ouranos,

Thank you for the feedback on the chart. Your freedom (from computer) didn't last very long :-)
I have not heard back from my boss on the request yet, but I hope it will be soon. Could 3 units opp of Mercury/Jupiter (Rx) mean more, 3 weeks or 3 months?
and can Mo opp Sun be more than 6 days?

SU and MO being both Fixed and Succedent (3 deg 52), we know that the resolution might be slow. I don't know why I saw 6 units!!!
But, rounded off to 4 units (days, weeks, months, years), we know that it did not happen in 4 days.
Check in the ephemeris in 4 weeks and 4 months and see if planets are transiting over your significators.
Special attention to the motion of VE and MA as ruling your 10th and 11th and being the rulers of the FM (Taurus -Scorpio).
MA also ruling your SU in the 11th.
Check the SU/VE cycle and phases again as related to the question.
I had a personal case where the SU and VE where significators and at Inferior conjunction and the resolution happened at Superior conjunction.
Best to you.
