UK Jupiter Ingress theme 1 by Deb With the new ingress coming up, it's worth noting how the dominant Jupiter in Taurus on the IC theme of the 2024 Aries ingress played out for the UK. All four components of the UK - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - had a change of political leader during 2024, and all of the new leaders have notably strong Jupiters with earthy luminaries uk25.gif Viewed 22138 times 581.87 KiB Prime Minister of England: Keir Starmer (Jul, 2024) First Minister of Scotland: John Swinney (May, 2024) First Minister of Wales: Eluned Morgan (Aug, 2024) First Minister of Northern Ireland: Michelle O'Neill (Feb, 2024) The Jupiter theme remains strong for the UK in 2025 too, with Jupiter now on the ascendant dispositing the Moon and MC-ruler Saturn. Jupiter ruling the 7th house and 11th house (which holds the packed stellium of planets) shows that international relationships and building alliances will be key political concerns for this year. (Overall this doesn't look like a terrible year to live in the UK) uk25.jpg Viewed 22148 times 433.44 KiB Attachments uk_2024_.jpg Not downloaded yet 1 MiB Quote Wed Feb 12, 2025 3:33 pm

Re: UK Jupiter Ingress theme 3 by Deb Here's the principle as explained on - https://www.skyscript.co.uk/ingresses.html A general rule in traditional astrology is that if the ascendant of the ingress chart is in a moveable (cardinal) sign the chart remains valid for three months only, and it is necessary to draw further charts for the Sun's entry into Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. If the ascendant is in a common (mutable) sign the chart remains valid for six months, and the Sun's ingress into Libra should be used for the remaining half of the year. If the ascendant is in a fixed sign, however, the chart remains valid for the whole year. However, not all traditional texts express that view and my own experience is that the Aries Ingress is always the most important one, with year-long effects. The others help describe zoomed-in events within their periods, but don't present the power of the Aries Ingress. In Arabian texts the Aries ingress is considered extremely important as a foundation chart for all mundane evaluation, because this return of the Sun realigns it with the equinox and commences a new cycle of annual themes. The more I have used them, the more I agree. Quote Wed Feb 12, 2025 4:51 pm
Re: UK Jupiter Ingress theme 4 by james_m thanks for the reminder of these rules and their relativity.. what do you think of taking the uk 1801 chart into consideration with the aries ingress chart as a type of important transit chart? Quote Wed Feb 12, 2025 4:55 pm
Re: UK Jupiter Ingress theme 5 by Deb Yes, do that - mundane astrology needs us to note configurations that trigger older, radical positions. No one chart is an answer in itself. I look at national charts alongside ingresses, eclipses and lunations - always looking for 'returns', repeated patterns, or concentrated stress points that get highlighted by transits in leader charts too. It is easy to get lost in the numerous options for national charts, but the 1801 chart works pretty well for the UK in my experience. Quote Wed Feb 12, 2025 5:19 pm
Re: UK Jupiter Ingress theme 6 by james_m here it is with the 1801 chart on the inside and the 2025 aries ingress chart on the outside.. UK 1801Tra.jpg Viewed 22116 times 106 KiB the most obvious connection is the place of the moon in the 10th in the 1801 chart and the transit of mars less then a degree away.. this might speak to the issue of leadership which i was making earlier.. additionally mars in teh 1801 chart squares directly onto the 2025 aries ingress midheaven.. uranus transit in the 2025 aries ingress is also 135 the midheaven of the 1801 chart and square the 1801 saturn position as well.. all of this raises the question regarding the stability of the leadership as i see it.. at the same time 1801 venus is in a 6 degree conjunction of the 2025 aries chart midheaven.. other connections include the jupiter rising in the 2025 aries ingress is being opposed by the 1801 mercury on the descendant of the 2025 aries ingress chart.. maybe there are some other connections i am missing.. mercury retro at 7 aries in the 2025 aries ingress is conjunct the 1801 descendant as well.. Re: UK Jupiter Ingress theme 7 by Deb The Mars connection gives a worry of concern for international issues, I think, rather than direct UK leadership issues. Mars and Saturn are very troubling in a lot of national ingress charts this year, so I don't think there is any getting away from the fact that most of the globe is going to be on high alert. I am always reluctant to sound a positive note on anything political - the UK theme only looks fairly relaxed by comparison to other nations! All the places you'd expect are loaded with high energy and themes of conflict. Russia's ingress has Mars rising with Saturn nodal on the MC - Korea, bad; Israel, bad, USA, bad ... then 2026 seems to be all about confusion, and the Mars themes kick in strong again in 2027. BW, I'll be opening up a page soon that allows you to view a wide array of national ingress chart in one quick scan - rather than try to add the charts in here, I'll update with that link as soon as I can. Re: UK Jupiter Ingress theme 8 by james_m it's great you are going to do this deb.. thanks... i continue to want to play devils advocate here though... in my limited study of ingress charts, they haven't had much relevance... maybe i was reading the charts wrong and didn't see the connections that others would have.. i am receptive to this, but in my experience they haven't panned out in any useful predictive manner.. hopefully my viewpoint can be proven wrong.. the national charts are a mixed bag as well, but better in some respects, especially if there aren't a lot of them to choose from with regard to any particular country.. Re: UK Jupiter Ingress theme 9 by Deb Not every annual ingress chart will speak a clear message - it's best not to sweat over non-dramatic charts as there could be more distraction than juice. I span many, then focus attention on those with the 'stress-points' (or big-hitters) falling on angles - that generally earmarks important issues that emerge as political themes. (Even then, I won't waste time if this doesn't fit into an overall pattern that emerges in other charts too). I do have a lot of interest in ingress charts - they are one of my favoured techniques for showing which nations and leaders are about to have their feet held to the fire. The best way to understand them is to look at those that relate to pivotal past times, and note how they described what followed. (I always find them useful like that - if you skip out the non-descript years, they get a lot more exciting) The example I just created seems good to illustrate. Another UK chart that had Jupiter-Uranus angular (a reliable indicator of social change, for good or bad). This is the ingress that preceded the start of the UK Miners strike in 1984. It paints such a vivid portrait of a highly charged year that divided communities and saw the end of a national industry (mining/4th house), don't you think? People up in arms over jobs (Moon ruling 6th sextile Mars on 2nd - a battle of labour and resources); Saturn ( the populace) conjunct Pluto - willing to 'do or die', but eventually losing because the divisive 10th ruler is stronger ... Any one mundane chart is only one part of the picture, but when that one part is brightly coloured you get a good sense of what the picture is WP: Many observers regard the strike as "the most bitter industrial dispute in British history". The number of person-days of work lost to the strike was over 26 million, making it the largest since the 1926 General Strike. The journalist Seumas Milne said of the strike that "it has no real parallel – in size, duration and impact – anywhere in the world". Quote Wed Feb 12, 2025 9:40 pm
Re: UK Jupiter Ingress theme 10 by james_m thanks for the additional commentary and example deb... i just read a quote and was wondering if it is relevant here - "Niccolò Machiavelli: “Men will not look at things as they really are, but as they wish them to be - and are ruined”. that's a bit radical, i will admit... in thinking of the aries ingress this year - all of them are essentially a conjunction of sun, neptune and north node.. perhaps one could put saturn at 23 pisces as a part of it too.. that is a lot of energy in the vicinity of the sun's entrance into aries... the sun wants to start something new, but is intimately aware of the baggage from the past - saturn in pisces.. but the sun is a softer energy here given it's close connection to neptune.. is this a moment of more gentle, idealistic energy entering the world, or am i dreaming?? in many respects the onslaught of technology is generating greater confusion - another neptune keyword.... so perhaps the glass is half full or half empty depending on how one processes everything.. in going with the neptune, is the possibility of world peace possible here with trump talking of ending the ukraine conflict?? dreamers can dream... going back to my commentary on the 2025 aries for the uk, i would suggest the possibility of financial challenges given the prominence of mars in the chart with the set up in the 1801 chart... it is my take on one possibility for the uk this year.. Deb wrote: Wed Feb 12, 2025 9:40 pm Another UK chart that had Jupiter-Uranus angular (a reliable indicator of social change, for good or bad). were you implying that the aries ingress for 2025 has jupiter-uranus angular?? i am curious.. now, onto the topic of the miners strike as being reflected in the 1983 aries ingress chart.. the strike apparently ran from march 6th 1984 to march 3rd 1985 covering most of 1984, as opposed to 1983.. i realize the chart with a fixed sign for 1983 is supposed to last the whole year, which would include the very tail end - less then 14 or 15 days from the new chart for 1984, but i think the aries ingress chart for 1984 summarizes this important historical event in britian much better... below is the 1984 aries ingress chart.. this chart also has jupiter on an angle in a wide conjunction however with neptune which is squaring onto the sun in aries. aries ingress 84 UK.jpg Viewed 22066 times 67.9 KiB the besieged moon in this chart would seem to reflect what was probably the mood of many in the uk at the time of this strike.. i suspect it was quite a divisive event with the workers against the gov't... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984%E2%8 ... %27_strike as it happens, jupiter which is angular rules the midheaven degree and is in the commanding square to mercury which rules the ic/4th house cusp as represented by the workers.. was this considered a favourable outcome historically? i don't know uk history well enough to comment, but i do know that the neo-liberal agenda that was introduced in the early 1980s with the advent of margaret thatcher, ronald reagan, along with brian mulroney here in canada, was very much in vogue at the time... how have workers fared since this time? i know this is getting away from astrology, but what might have been a 'win' ( think jupiter) at the time for the gov't, certainly hasn't been a win for people as compared to corporations circa 2025... i am willing to play along with the idea that ingress charts are relevant, but i continue to have difficulty with this idea.. that's all.. Re: UK Jupiter Ingress theme 11 by Deb Hi James - I don't feel any need to persuade you; keep your options open. The comment you queried related to the chart I initially posted. So when you say "were you implying that the aries ingress for 2025 has jupiter-uranus angular?? i am curious.". No, I was talking about the detail in the 2024 ingress - the chart I opened the thread about. Quote Thu Feb 13, 2025 4:57 pm
