regarding carneys natal chart with venus under the beams of the sun - not sure how to read that.. i have always been unsure of how to interpret this concept of being under the suns beams.. i have seen many people with planets conjunct sun where the planet is a clear read and insight into the person... sun-venus conjunction - good looks, suited to artistic pursuits and etc. etc... so, i am not sure how to treat it here... venus is at the midpoint of sun-saturn, less then 1 1/2 degrees, but past the midpoint... saturn is directly connected to his 9th house midheaven and 10th house equal whole sign houses.. i would generally interpret that to be a more ambitious set up.. saturn is very strong by coming out of the sunbeams and also rising ahead of the sun... venus can be considered a vocational indicator given it rising before the sun, and again to yammer on about this endlessly - venus - money is one theme, but perhaps beauty and art is another more friendly way to consider venus here.. i am sure carney will be more supportive of the arts in canada verses poilievre... just how one interprets venus here would seem to matter as it is so central to much of his chart as i see it..

regarding the close of the polls to ottawa - i think you said it was 10pm edt.. below is a biwheel with carneys natal on the inside and the transits to the polls close in ottawa..
having moon transit close to the ascendant/jupiter conjunction in carneys natal chart is very positive as i see it... uranus adds a sparkle too and although it is past the conjunction with jupiter - this combo of uranus transit jupiter is very positive as i see it.. that's the first thing.. 2nd, i see the midheaven axis at 2 virgo/pisces 51 - being squared by jupiter at 20 gemini, lands very close to carneys natal venus to again emphasize the venus theme here.. i am not sure how much stock or faith to put in a closing poll time, but on the surface, it all looks positive for carney..

i am going to look at the sidereal solar return for carney 2025 and see if i can get anything clear off that chart.... later...

Yes, normally a planet falling in the 6th is seen as a negative; just wondering about it in this instance; his radix Venus is in the 12th in Pisces opposition Mars and sends its sextile to the 10th and it's setting into the Sun. In the SR, it is in the 6th sending its trine to the 10th and rising out of the Sun (at least I think this is what's happening, still have trouble keeping the motions of the inner planets, with respect to the Sun, straight). Which would indicate an improvement on the radix conditions; and his profected Venus is in the 10th. As well, the SR Venus falls in the 11th of parliament and he became PM first due to the rules around parliament. So, in a nutshell, I don't think the SR is necessarily negative given his current life situation.

The 4th can also be the end of things and family; Pluto is in his radix 6th of work, and he is in the midst of changing careers, going from being, primarily, an economist, to a full time politician, certainly what he's doing is going to effect his family as well as himself. It's possible he feels compelled (Pluto) to make the change.

I get your take on them both; I'm not quite sure what to make of Carney; from what I can tell, he does appear to be concerned that economic theory has drifted far from its roots which firmly grounded it in social values i.e. an economy is really only 'productive' if it improves society as a whole, aiding only the capitalists or only labour was bad for everyone all around; there's a sweet spot where everyone in the society can thrive.

I think, here, have to take into account that Venus is in the 11th from the 8th and sending her sextile to the 8th (into Gemini) while she is conjunct Mercury all of which describe the connection with tariffs (8th) and international trade (9th) which tie in with the current environment he's dealing with and add to that Venus position in Aries (new start) in the 6th (work) disposited by Mars in 9th (foreign trade) indicating threats all effecting his personal (Venus Asc ruler) life and work (6th). It is fairly clear he operating, work wise, in the midst of a 'trade war'.

lol...I don't think anyone is squeaky clean; if you're human, you're flawed (notice I don't say we're all 'sinners' ... that I don't believe). That he's moved in the same circle as the powerful may be what his Venus setting into the Sun shows; some of the old texts say a planet in it's own dignities cannot be burnt or combust; perhaps that holds true here for Venus (Asc ruler) in her exaltation; he doesn't come across (to me) as being in the pockets of the powerful.

The book isn't an autobiography, from what I can tell (so far, only a few chapters in) it focuses on economic history, the current state of economics and how it can be utilized to improve living conditions for everyone on the planet.

Eyes are giving out so I'll have to leave my response to your next post for another day.

good commentary and feedback.. thanks... i am reading a book right now ( i finished the other one) called 'the capital order' how economists invented austerity and paved the way to fascism, by clara e. mattei 2022... a few months ago i read a book by richard werner called 'where does money come from? a guide to the uk monetary and banking system written in 2011, before carney was the boe governor... both books are concerned with the topic of banking, economics, and the role the ''central bank'' plays in all of this... unfortunately the impression i have of this 'opaque' world of finance, is not a pretty one and it is grounded on my limited knowledge of it's ''central'' role in our lives... although these bankers always appear as well dressed and behaved individuals, my take is they are working more for oligarchs and the 1% and any table scraps that are left over, can be given to the masses, which would include you and i.. these ideas and a general interest in the topic of banking is something i continue to maintain and cultivate... as i see it the world financial system at present is one big ponzi scheme, but i don't want to get into this here on an astrology site!!

i have some astrology to offer, but i am presently busy doing some catch up with the garden.. i have a whack of chinese broccoli i want to plant - seedlings that i started from seed and i need to attend to this and other 'mundane' things at this moment.. i have done my reading on my coffee break this morning and it isn't raining at the moment, so i am going to take advantage of this time! i will try to come back with more astrology tomorrow.. cheers james
