which house for - artiste and producer 1 by honeybee if the questions are 1. "will I find a job as a producer?" 2. "is an acting career suitable for me?" I couldn't find relevant information on these two fields, which houses/rulers best described them respectively? Leo and 5th house for actor? Gemini and 12th house for producer? Or do they share the same house/ruler? Thanks ________ Rhode Island Medical Marijuana Dispensary Last edited by honeybee on Tue Feb 15, 2011 1:25 am, edited 1 time in total. 2 by kerenhappuch Hi honeybee, It's not clear to me if these are two separate questions with two separate charts, or are you trying to answer both at the same time using the same chart? As the job/profession has been specified, we can use the house rulers to answer the question. We'd use general significators only if the question was of choosing between more than one career and we had to find significators for each of the different options. These questions are specific, which makes our task a lot easier and gives a clearer chart! Generally speaking, in "would this career suit me" you could try looking at the 9th (the querent's knowledge) and the 10th (profit from knowledge, ie career). Are these planets strong? And what about Lord 1? Is the querent in good condition themselves? What do the receptions tell you about the job? eg Lord 1 in exaltation of Lord 10, they have unrealistic expectations of the job. Lord 10 in detriment of Lord 1, the job will prove stressful and negative for the querent, or they will have trouble finding employment (perhaps - explore the chart further to see if this is the case). Also try dropping Lord 1 into the 10th. Is it happy there? Is there an affliction to the 10th house (eg nasty Saturn in Leo)? If the 10th is afflicted then this career idea may not be the best. Likewise if Lord 9 is weak - the querent does not have the neccessary skills to succeed. (Essential dignity shows the quality of skill, accidental dignity shows the power to act, i.e. if the knowledge can be used profitably or not. Eg Lord 9 is Venus in Libra - great! She is essentially strong. But if she's in the 12th house then this knowledge will not manifest easily no matter how much the querent has.) If it's a "Will I get X?" question then we need to find an aspect between the two significators to give a "yes". E.g. "Will I find work as a producer" we'd need to find an applying aspect between Lord 1 and Lord 10, with favourable receptions. There are other bits and bobs you could look at too but I don't want to foist too many of my thoughts onto you! Post back and let us know how you got on. Hope this helps. 3 by granny_skot ACting and Producing require a bit different mindset. A producer obtains funding for, distribution for, business organization, etc for a film or play. The director works closely with the producer letting him /her know the needs/wants for the productions but is involved in the technical aspects of creating a piece of art, the Actor is part of the creation. this person needs to be able to take on the art wort and recreate it for those who will be watching. also needs to take direction well. Producers need extremely good sales skills and people skills, (organizational skills a plus) Directors and film editors need strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. Actors need to be able to take on a persona (5th house certainly) It is not unusual to find a director or producer has a virgo rising. I would look at your natal chart and do a vocational assessment if I were you rather than ask a horary. I think you will get better results. You are looking at very disparate careers here. 4 by honeybee Hi Keren, Thanks. The questions are for two separate charts. Generally speaking, in "would this career suit me" you could try looking at the 9th (the querent's knowledge) and the 10th (profit from knowledge, ie career). Are these planets strong? I'm a newbie in horary and it's new to me to consider 9th house for such questions. Applying the same theory, does that mean I can use radical 11th house to find out the profitability of a chosen job? I've always thought there is a house for a specific career. Eg 3rd house for career that deals with verbal and written communication such as writer. 5th house for creative pursuits. 6th house for pets and animals related occupations...etc The approach I used was to locate a house that best represent the chosen job and look at 10th house rewards, recognition and social status of the specific career. Hence, I was trying to find out which house acting and producer falls into. Both of the charts are in my home's PC(I'm at work now ) but I have some scribbled notes for the producer question chart with me now, I have Aquarius ASC with a Neptune Conjunction Uranus Rx in 1st house Lord 1(Saturn) in 7th house(Leo). - Detriment Lord 10(Mars) in 9th house(Libra) - Detriment Lord 9(Venus) in 8th house (Virgo), about to change sign in another 7 minutes. - From fall to own sign dignities. Co-significator Moon in Capricorn 11th house - Detriment Sun is in the middle of Lord 9 and 10 with a distance of 7 degrees apart. There is a future sextile aspect between Lord 1 and Lord 10 in another 7 degrees. The concerned significators are in Detriment. In addition to that, Moon is going to perfect a square aspect with Sun and Lord 10(Mars). Looks very very negative I supposed. Not related to this chart or sets of questions, please see my other recent post, what if I want to compare between two job options using one chart? Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. ________ HONDA NH SERIES Last edited by honeybee on Tue Feb 15, 2011 1:26 am, edited 1 time in total. Quote Fri Oct 06, 2006 7:54 pm
5 by honeybee Hi Granny, Thanks. They are two separate questions for two individuals. I think likewise of getting a vocational assesment using the natal chart but sometimes horary gives a "quicker" answer to an immediate question ________ Buy vaporizers Quote Fri Oct 06, 2006 8:10 pm
