Distribution

The distribution positions are calculate based on OA motion by degree, not the usual averaged motion by sign.

The distribution is in Pisces, Venus' term, sharing with herself by sextile with Moon since December 2024. Venus is in the 12th and rules the 6th and 11th. The Moon is in the 5th and rules the 8th. With 3 unfortunate houses activated the period will most likely be a difficult one, possibly involving illness (6th, Moon as 'the body') and hospitalization (12th) that garners the support of friends (11th) and children (5th). Also of note is that the 11th hold Mars (doctors) in domicile conjunct the 12th; an indication of good medical support.

Profection
Profection based on 30 degrees of motion per year always starting from the Ascendant degree.
Biden is 82 years old, putting the profection in the 11th House and the profected Asc in Libra, ruled by Venus (divisor) with her other domicile, Taurus, on the profected 8th and profected Venus in the 2nd opposed to the 8th. The profected Asc has Neptune, co-ruler of the 6th, closely conjunct in the 12th; an indication of confusion, misdiagnosis, lack of clarity or something hidden connected with an illness.
The profected Moon, sharing in the distribution, is in the profected 7th conjunct the profected 8th.
The profection supports the indications (illness, hospitalization) from the divisors.

Solar Return The SR Asc is in Scorpio (the radix 12th) with Mars at 4 LE transiting the radix 8th. Anthony Louis identifies Mars as the Lord of the Orb for the year and points out it "rules the natal 12th, conjoins the 12th Placidus cusp, and square Pluto in the 8th. Again, the possibility of serious illness, possibly requiring hospitalization, surgery, or chemotherapy".

The SR Sun is in the SR 1st partile trine Neptune (co-ruler of the profected 6th) in the SR 5th and in opposition to Uranus in the SR 7th.

Directions
The following directions are non-standard PD's; they are calculated using each planets OA at birth less the Age Arc (82 years) converted to longitude using each planet's Placidus pole or, for Lots and other points, the birth latitude. The maiora esse is calculated by moving each planet from its radix position at the rate of 30/365.25 per year to give profected motion in the year.

- The directed Lot of Death (Dorotheus) is critical at 0 GE where it will remain until it moves into 29 TA between June 20 and July 20
- The directed Lot of Illness is moving from 6 CP, where it sits on directed Fortune, to 5 CP, where it will sit on the radix 2nd (and oppose the radix 8th) and be in the trine of directed Mars (ruler of the SR Asc) where it will remain for the remainder of the year
- Directed Mercury (a radix 12th house planet, ruling the profected 12th and SR 8th) is at 16 VI moving to 15 VI where it will be in the trine of the maiora Moon
- The directed SAN is moving from 11 VI to 10 VI and into the sextile of directed Neptune
- The directed Moon (sharing in the division) at 19 CP is square directed Jupiter (a radix 8th house planet and ruler of the radix Asc and 4th) at 19 AR.
- The directed Asc at 28 VI is sextile radix Venus (divisor) at 28 SC
- Directed Saturn at 9 AQ will trine his radix self at 9 GE
- Directed Uranus at 27 CP is sextile the radix Sun (in the 12th) at 27 SC

So we have the radix Asc ruler (Jupiter), the profected Asc ruler and divisor (Venus) and the SR Asc ruler and Lord of the Orb (Mars) all active along with both lights Moon (divisor) and Sun (in 12th) all active while the areas of the chart connected with illness, hospitalization and death are also active indicating the threat of a serious illness possibly leading to death.

I see that you used 8:30 which would account for a difference of 4-5 months in timing for PD.
Did you check previous events in his life to back up your choice?

Hi Ouranos,

I've used the 8:30 am time for Biden's chart when checking events around the election and for this; the method I use, moving the whole chart by 1 year = 1 degree of OA varies from the normal PD's but I have found it to be far more descriptive of natal events than other methods I've tried over the years. It's also why I mention they are by OA; don't want to give the impression I am using ephemeris motion, primary or secondary, or Solar Arc motion.

No, sorry, should have been clearer on that. For the houses, I start with the RAMC less the Age Arc, subtract increments of 30 degrees for new house cusps and then convert to longitude using their house poles so MC is always has a pole of zero, the Asc pole is the birth latitude; intermediate cusp poles are calculated using Placidus method.
