I heard early or late rising signs in HA are you usually avoided on the grounds that question isnt radical or serious,but the real reason is that in Lillys time you wouldnt know for sure which was the rising sign so the question was considered damaged.
Do you think we should treat early and late degrees as functional as long as we are sure of the time of question?

1. Early Rising Sign (0°–3° of a sign):

This can suggest the question is too premature, the situation is still unfolding, or the querent may not have full information yet. Something that can change the formulation of the question.
For example, someone may ask "Should I go visit my daughter in August?", while some information is missing, like maybe your daughter has just entered the hospital or she has already planned a vacation trip somewhere else.

2. Late Rising Sign (27°–30° of a sign):

This often implies the matter is already settled, or events are too far along for change.

It may indicate that the querent already knows the answer, even subconsciously, or that the outcome is inevitable.

In both cases, the chart is a "wait and see" indicator.

It could be a timekeeping issue, etc. IMO, it also might relate to the ancient belief that planets at the beginning or end of a sign are not rooted in one sign or the other. This is true in natal as well. The ascendant might be regarded similar in that respect? That is always how I intuitively felt about this issue. An ambiguity.

EARLY EPHEMERI were not very accurate and had huge spaces between one entry and the next one. Accuracy at the level of our computer programs today was simply not heard of. Thus, lots of approximations were made.
