Which National Chart should be used for the United Kingdom? 1 by Wei The "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland" was officially renamed the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" in 1927. Although the Irish Free State gained independence in 1922, resulting in the United Kingdom losing most of its Irish territory, the formal change of the country’s name did not happen immediately. The name change was facilitated by the *Royal and Parliamentary Titles Act 1927*, which amended the country’s name to the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" to reflect the fact that only Northern Ireland remained part of the United Kingdom. **Date and Time**: The *Royal and Parliamentary Titles Act 1927* received Royal Assent on April 12, 1927, and took effect from that date. **Location**: This act was passed by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, located at the Palace of Westminster in London. Unfortunately, I don’t have Nicholas Campion’s *Book of World Horoscopes* on hand at the moment. Thank you all for your help! Quote Tue May 27, 2025 8:09 pm
Re: Which National Chart should be used for the United Kingdom? 2 by astralwanderer Hi Wei - there are various charts that British astrologers use for the UK. One of the most frequently cited is known as the '1801' chart, more formally known as the United Kingdom (Union of Great Britain with Ireland). 1 January 1801, 00:00 LMT, Westminster, England. uk 1801i.png Viewed 4089 times 207.18 KiB I have found this chart works well in mundane analysis for the UK. I have never found the later charts to work that well. This seems counter-intuitive since we tend to assume that a more recent chart supersedes all earlier charts. However, I wonder whether the 1801 chart is still highly relevant since any attempts to resolve the question of Irish independence since the Union of Great Britain with Ireland have, at best, been partial. In short, the Act of Union is still the driving force in Irish and British politics. The other chart that seems to work well is the chart set for the Coronation of William the Conqueror on Christmas Day 1066. 25 January 1066 (OS), Noon, Westminster, England. coro william.png Viewed 4089 times 203.34 KiB Although one might argue this is a chart for England (rather than Great Britain), it seems to have relevance on the basis that this moment sets in train 1000 years of history culminating in the Act of Union in 1801 and beyond to today. In my view the key placement linking these charts is Pluto in the early degrees of Pisces. I anticipate that the years of the mid 2040s will be critical in the historical development of the UK and Ireland when Pluto returns to these degrees for the fourth time since William the Conqueror's coronation. There are other charts cited by Campion in his book. However these are the two that I turn to in matters mundane for the UK. Best wishes. Saturn in Aries always brought troubles to England. I remember when in 1996-97 the daily Sky news headlines were " More job losses today" for the entire period.. And of course Dianas death. Then came Blair but things too time to improve Quote Fri May 30, 2025 10:44 pm
