Will it last?

Yesterday the person I adore and I had a conversation that took us to the precipice of breakup and back into an uneasy truce. Some problems we've been having: I'm a virgo stellium with a 12th house pisces moon and because of the stress I'm under at work right now which will go away in 2 weeks, I've been very insecure and needy. He's a saggittarius stellium and a few days ago one of his friends said he should marry me. Despite the fact we've already discussed marriage, hearing someone else say it made his little centaur legs start the backpeddle. So at first the convo was "I love you but this is too much for me right now and we don't work well together" then it was "I'm not ready" and it ended with "I love you and I'm willing to try to make this work" So I asked "Will this work" at 4:46 pm in Newport RI on September 16.

Not getting anything really clear from the chart. The ascendant is in Aquarius at 5 degrees, making my significator Saturn in the 7th house in leo. His significator is the sun, in virgo, also in the seventh, but about to cross into the 8th. There's no connection between the two, suggesting maybe a barrier between us, but both are connected to pluto in the 11th, sun by an applying square, saturn by an applying trine. Perhaps suggesting that what will bring the two together and make this work is change and transformation. We both have faults that need fixing, my insecurity and clingyness, his fear of committment and intimacy, and right now those faults are squaring each other and magnifying each other, and perhaps our meeting was a way to push that plutonian change into action. We're both approaching that time to change which may be more difficult for him due to the applying square.

As for co significator: the moon is in cancer making an applying sextile to the sun (his significator) and is involved in a grand water trine with jupiter and uranus. A lot of emotion here. and the trine with jupiter is applying, so ther's some promise. Neptune also plays into the picture. With neptune in the querent's first house, teh querent is confused about herself, usure, uncertain, and unable to think clearly about her situation. Neptune is also in the man's seventh house. He's confused about the relationship and, with the seperating opposition with the woman's significator, saturn, he may also have been confused about her, but the seperating aspect suggests this is on the (possibly long) road to repair. As one more note, venus is making an applying sextile to jupiter and is in a separating opposition from uranus in the first house. there's a lot of personal change and upheaval that has to happen to make this work, but there is also a lot of love. Especially with Chiron right on the ascendant.

Is that correct? anyone see anything that says "nope, you're wrong...run"

Is this the same relationship you asked about a few days ago? If so, it is not a good idea to ask what amounts to the same question so soon. It can only lead to confusion. The first chart will still be relevant and it is probably more beneficial to have a complete understanding of that chart rather than do another. However, I think each of these charts is telling you the same thing.
His significator is the sun, in virgo, also in the seventh, but about to cross into the 8th.
By the chart I have drawn he is already in the 8th house even without using the 5 degree rule. As you pointed out, there is no aspect between the two main significators. There is an applying trine between the Moon and his significator suggesting some contact. However, there is no reception between the Moon and Sun. There is some reception between Saturn and the Sun but no aspect. Saturn is in detriment. However, the Moon is in its own rulership.
Pluto is the last planet I would want the significators to be aspecting in terms of a happy and successful relationship. Pluto is aggressive and degenerative. The transformation comes later. It's like saying that building a new house is transformative but only because Pluto came along and burnt the other one down. It's the same with the 8th house where the quesited is. Modern astrologers often talk about the 8th house as being the house of transformation but it is the house of crisis. It is a house that brings anxiety and fear. Transformation may come later but it will not be found in this house. With the close square to Pluto from the 8th house it is likely that the quesited is feeling very anxious about this situation. The south node is quite close to the Sun too.
I never use Chiron myself but I'm not sure I would be too crazy about having it on the ascendant of a relationship chart. The archetype of Chiron is of the wounded healer who spends his/her life healing others while unable to heal his own pain.

Would you say that's indicative of absolute failure, or of possible success but with a lot of work involved. I don't expect any of this to be easy. We've both got a lot to learn and a lot to fix within ourselves if this is to work, and right now there's a lot of fear and anxiety on both ends. And the transformations that need to take place in both our souls is very plutonian in nature, that's perhaps why I saw the pluto connection as more promising. This is serious work and it's scaring the hell out of us, but it's also what's uniting us and, if accomplished, will be what keeps us together. Do you see any promise in here at all for success after struggle?

I do not really believe that there is any such thing as absolute failure. I also do not believe in fatal necessity. I do not believe that a horary can ever give the absolute final word on anything. There is no sense in doing a horray asking for advice if we cannot change anything. We have free will and we have the ability to change things. However, the horary will tell you the way things stand and the direction of the way they are heading if something does not happen to change the situation. To my mind, this horary is telling you that things are not currently looking good. But you already know that. Judging by this chart, it will be very difficult to change this situation. But nothing is impossible. You do have an applying positive aspect between your co-significator, the Moon and his significator, the Sun. There is some positive connection between the two of you. However, both of you are not in good shape as individuals (the Sun and Saturn). This might be about taking the time you are apart to strengthen your own positions as individuals before attempting a more permanent commitment between you.

The greatest gift of horary astrology is not that it will tell you whether something will or will not happen but that you can look at a chart and have the knowledge right there in front of you of how you can best deal with the situation at hand. You might not always get the desired outcome but you will be able to deal with it from a greater position of strength.

I hope things work out for you.

Cheers
Sue

thanks sue. I'm certainly not rose tinting this. We both have a lot to work on. my insecurity, his feeling inadequate and afraid to open himself. A lot of serious pluto work to be done in both our lives if this is going to work. And I want it to. I think we've been brought together to highlight all that pluto change that needs to happen which right now is terrifying to both of us.

update:

we have decided that I'll meet him in a week and we'll spend time together, then decide what will become of "us". After talking to some of his friends, I've learned he's very confused about his life as a whole right now but still cares for me. Ultimately now, I'd hope for us to stay together but insert a lot of breathing room into the relationship in order to reach our own goals.

As a fellow Sagittarius, I can tell you that being a Sadge during these planetary times is not much fun. Pluto is directly on my Sun right now; hard, hard work on Self. Have you checked your man's natal Pluto transits? With a stellium, he's bound to have Pluto sitting on him in one way, shape, or form. No wonder he's confused/terrified! Good luck!

I'm at his house for the next week. He's fallen in with a new crowd of friends I don't care for. He says he still loves me but isn't sure he's ready. I know I still love him but am starting to feel he is changing into a person I don't respect.

Still...love.

ugh this is hard.

after seeing him for a week, I've seen how unhappy he is with his life and how much he dislikes himself. I can't help him with that, so I've decided to let him go so he can find himself I still love him though. Not the choice I wanted to make.
