looking at the transits and solar return, nothing jumps out at me to suggest this win, which is interesting..i haven't looked at it closely though and i was surprised to see a chart for him at astrodatabank.. perhaps some others would like to explore this more..

I haven’t looked beyond the transits yet, but using the natal sidereal chart on the day of the primary—June 24th, 2025—Mamdani’s transiting 10th lord, Mars, was trine his natal MC from the 3rd house of initiative and leadership. Also, the transiting Sun and Jupiter conjunction formed a close trine to the stellium in his 4th whole sign house and the IC.

By the time the preliminary final-round results were announced on July 1st, transiting Mars was at the midpoint of his tight natal Jupiter–Venus conjunction.

This suggests a win to me.

my mistake was i was looking at the relocated chart, instead of the natal! i see what you note - thanks... below is a biwheel with these transits on the outside.. i think you meant mars transiting his 2nd, not 3rd house.. the transits are for june 24th, 1800 hours new york city.
what is interesting to me is that the jupiter-venus conjunction is really highlighted by the mars 10th house rulers transit... this is further accentuated by the converse primary directions, both zodiac and mundane, which show in the chart data immediately below.. essentially mars transit is acting like a trigger for the primary directions at work here.. however, and this is the critical point - these primary directions are generated off zohran mamdanis relocated chart to nyc - not to his natal chart, which is something i also neglected to realize until this morning...
