Ooops, ok, all better now. Great first impression, huh? Actually I have been seized by darkness, but almost have it under control. New computer with new operating system and DSL opened us up to all kinds of internet creatures of the night. I love the insight I get when I watch my spelling errors. Our bodies talk to us.

I've been pondering the meaning of these two words as it relates to the Moon's domain, the night and all that is hidden in the shadows.

Seize: 1. To grab, to capture. 2. To take advantage of an opportunity.

In French "seize" is the number 16. In the Tarot that is the card relating to the confounding of the languages at the Tower of Babel, also called the lightening struck tower. It would be really hard to even see the lightening without darkenss.

Cease: To stop. Via French cesser, from Latin cessare, frequentative of cedere, "to go away" It is a French word and is connected to Ceasar's name, I think.

I must give to Ceasar what is his and the Moon what is hers. Even though my natal Moon is Void of Course, she has much to reveal in the darkness so she must let her light shine also. She must capture and take advantage of every opportunity to serve the Sun. Cease and seize work so well together. I may consider changing it back. I hope I always cease long enough to seize. I just love the English language. Or is it French or Latin?

However, the term would be better understood if we say that 6th house rules those people who use an asset/property but are not the owners. And they have to pay the owner in cash or in kind or are under obligation which has to be re-paid in some manner in future.

Yes, this makes sense. The 6th is employees who increase our income and we are obligated to them. In the same way tenants increase our income and we are obligated to them.

This is a good analogy because to say that a tenant is not as subservient as was once the case, and so is no longer 6th house; would raise the question of whether employees (who are no longer thought of as slaves or servants ? not generally anyway) should also remain 6th house?

I completely agree that, despite modern rights, there is a still a hierarchy in the relationship between landlord and tenant, in which the tenant is the subservient, 6th house theme.

But going back to the original question, Haku was asking about the prospects of finding a tenant. At this stage, that hierarchy doesn?t exist, at least not in the case of a property owner trying to attract a new tenant and pushing out the property?s selling points. To me, this is more of a ?will I make a deal?? question, where both parties are still on equal footing. (In fact, the landlord could be the more desperate one at this stage). I don?t see the need to differentiate between properties being sold, or lease agreements being sold, or rental agreements being sold.

Once the situation is in place, then I see the tenant as 6th house to the landlord. So if the question were ?are my tenants going to pay the money owed? Repair the damage they made?, etc?, then I would view them as 6th house.
