I just now set a chart asking the question "How much longer will S live in my house?" (the question was asked at 4:01 p.m. MST in El Paso, Texas)

28 degrees Taurus rises, so the chart is telling me it's already too late or out of my hands, which it is. The Pleides also indicates something to cry about and that's true too, I've been very weepy because I can't afford to live in my own house! (Note an invalid degree on my second cusp as well).

The circumstances of the question are that my good friend and his two sisters (and now neice and her new baby) are renting my house.

I emailed him earlier today letting him know I'd need to raise the rent.

I'm using the 11th house at 9 Pisces (ruled by Jupiter) for him. The 4th house (my house) is ruled here by 10 Leo or the Sun. There is no aspect between him and the house, but he's already there, so should I use converse motion between Jupiter and the Sun?

Or should I use the 7th house from the 11th to indicate his moving? In that case, we'd use Mercury, and the Moon is making an applying quincunx to it. Does the quincunx count?

But the moon in this chart is at 25:58 Gemini making only one aspect: an opposition to Pluto at 26:04 Sag. So is it VOC?

I'd like my friend and his family to stay in the house, but I really need more rent money too... but I'm worried that asking for more rent might drive them out (though the increase is very reasonable and the rent is below market).

I?m thinking he would be represented by the 7th house because the question here specifically concerns a business agreement between the two of you. He is in the position of having to make a business decision.

Instead of asking "How much longer will S live in my house?", a better question might have been something like ?Will S accept the new rental terms??. I think that is what you were asking anyway.

Just to confuse you even more, I would consider using the sixth house for your friend as tenant. Even though he is a friend and using the 11th is definitely worth considering, the matter at hand is your relationship with him as your tenant. This is what is of concern in this question even though you have concerns for him as a friend. I have seen all the arguments that we should no longer use the 6th house for these matters because relationships between landlord and tenant have changed to be more equal but I do not agree with these arguments and still consider the 6th house to be the house for tenants.

Given that it is quite a late ascendant and the Moon is VOC, I would not place too much significance on this chart.

Sue?s 6th house suggestion looks interesting, but I still tend to go with the 7th. I could possibly be persuaded, however. For sure I don?t go with the 11th house in this case because the central issue is the tenant and business aspect ? unless, of course, the risk to friendship was what was really on your mind. Might be a vague question. Or rather, the question maybe doesn't express what's really on your mind.

Yes, the Moon is VoC. I don?t use the outers for this. If the Moon isn?t applying to any of the traditional planets I call it VoC.

In this context, I think the late Asc and VOC Moon suggest the situation will continue as before. In context, this shows your tenant will agree to the new rent and the situation will continue. Just my thought.

To give an update: my tenant did agree to the new terms and continues to live in the house.
