I would like to request your second opinion on this chart. Emphasis on Saturn and Neptune, therefore there is a possibility I am mis-reading the chart.

Question : Is K.S. my soulmate and will we marry?

Background: Querent has yet to meet the person, has seen his photo, and felt ?he is the one?, but the chart is indicating previous meeting/connection? - weird

My analysis: Yes, but may not be happy with the outcome of the relationship, or has high expectations of K.S.

Asc Leo ? Ruler Sun; Moon & Retro Saturn in 1st house.
7th House (House of Relationship/Marriage): Aquarius (ruler Saturn ), Neptune in 7th house opposite Moon and Saturn.

Moon, sig of querent, is in nodal degree, indicates fate is playing a hand or crisis in progress. It has finished opposition with Neptune (sig of queisted ? K.S.), trined Sun (sig of querent) (indicating previous meeting/connection?) and is going to Conjunct Saturn (sig of K.S) next indicating yes.

Moon continues the path to trine Pluto and the Venus in 5th house. Indicating final outcome of romance/relationship? (Pluto is ruler of 4th house ? if taking modern astrology, and Venus representing natural ruler of romance/relationship).

Sun ruler of 1st house in 5th house of romance has trined POF & Asc, is Sextiling Neptune in the 7th house and is going to Trine Saturn. This indicates the querent is interested in romance and is either psychic or has delusional expectations but will meet KS. Sun then continues on and conjuncts Pluto & then Venus before going VOC, indicating final outcome romance/relationship.

Neptune is Sextile Sun/P.O.F and will be opposite Saturn indicating yes by translation of light, confirming additional connecting between the querent and the person she is interested in ? K.S.

Saturn, ruler of the 7th house is in the 1st house in sign of Leo (ruled by Sun) and Retro, indicating the person she is interested in will be coming back into her life, and is interested in her?
Saturn is not in very good shape being Rx and in detriment indicating K.S. is not as good as her expectations? He is younger than her, so Saturn representing him does not represent him correctly or he is more mature than his age? (Saturn generally indicates older person/father figure?).

Possible meeting time? Moon will conjunct Sat in 4.6 degrees, but since Saturn is Retro so possibility earlier than 4.5 weeks/months? Sun Trines Sat 7.2 degrees and Neptune which is currently sextiling the Sun will be opposite Sun 7.5 degrees.. both indicating 7 weeks or 7 months? Therefore meeting time about 4.5 ? 7.5 weeks/months?

This is a bit beside the point, but the cynic in me always wonders why people seem to equate 'soulmate' and 'marriage', as if the two are inextricably intertwined; especially if the querent has yet to meet this proposed 'soulmate' and has only seen a photo!

I would be very cautious about that Neptune on the 7th cusp; the 7th ruler is quite keen on the querent being in her sign and house but the 7th person is in poor shape being in detriment and retrograde and still within orb of opposing Neptune. My guess is that there is deception going on; perhaps he hasn't given the querent an accurate picture of himself? Lying about his age/appearance?

There may well be a meeting between them with the moon applying, although I read somewhere that the moon in the 1st in a horary chart can also indicate that the querent is self-absorbed or thinking only of themselves. With the tone of the question, I would wonder whether the querent is a bit ... um ... hungry for love and affection, being that the moon is also in the sign of her ruler.

The two major significators apply mutually by trine. But again, I would be very cautious: Saturn is retrograde and returns to oppose Neptune; he will turn direct again in the spring. The person may change his tune or leave the querent after playing out his little deception: the Sun has only just separated from sextile to that 7th house Neptune. I would suspect his motives are less than noble, and that the querent is a ready believer of this deception; she has just been 'duped' somehow.

I think your initial reading is pretty good; I would suggest the querent go into the situation with eyes wide open, and not expect too much.

I would like to back Archergirl up... the question is traspassed by daydreaming... but the one who reads the chart has to see very clearly the differences between "love", "passion", " a fling", "relationship" and at last the dreadful word "soulmate".

There is a clear difference between them. The most ambiguous one is soulmate, that in general means that "we will be happy ever after, without making too much of an effort"

I have to add that a psychic that I see occasionally once said to me, a soulmate is often someone you should stay away from. Who knows what that past life was like, it could have been a bad one and that's why there is still an attachment. Better to find someone new and make something good out of it.

Being a student I was not sure if I was reading the chart correctly, especically with the 7th house also signifying the astrologer, and the ruler Saturn being Rx, I did not want to be unnecessarily negative about the situation.

With the heavy emphasis of Neptune and 7th house ruler being in poor shape indicating she is viewing him with rose colored glasses. With nodal aspect it does seem to be faith accompani.. time will tell. Hopefully she will keep her eyes and head clear and not get too carried away, or the connection will be more on the spiritual plane.

I did find it interesting the chart showing previous connection even though they have not yet met and with nodal connection so she maybe right of soulmate, but as Labalance pointed out all soulmate connections are not necessarily good.

If the 7th house ruler is Saturn in detriment and retrograde, you don't need to look any further - forget it, nothing good can come out of this. You don't need to look at the Moon, Mars, the Moon's nodes or the the Sabian symbol of the contrascion of the mid-point of the Vertex and the Dark Moon Lillith.

Having Saturn in such bad shape as the main significator makes reading a chart easy. The answer is just a plain but resounding no.
