This whole thing brings up the incident of free will versus fate. You may be fated to meet this person, but what you do with him is your own choice. The trouble with life is that the choice we get is not between a good man and a bad man, it's more likely a choice between a less than perfect man and no man at all.

less than perfect I can handle. Less than perfect is leaving hte milk container in the fridge when it's near empty and refusing to throw out old issues of sports illustrated. Less than perfect is everyone (this coming from a four planet virgo stellium) However, major psychological damage, self hatred and deceit....that's a little more than less than perfect.
