2nd opinion on relationship horary please!

1
I did a horary last week asking how things would work out between me and my boyfriend and the chart seems to show mixed results.
We moved in together a few months ago but I didnt feel like things were working so about a month ago moved out (and at this point coincidentally met up with an old flame which confused me even more.) After thinking about it I decided I wanted to give things another go and moved back in.

The chart was for sat 30th Dec, 9;2 am, Washington DC.
Aquarius rises and my significator Saturn is in detriment and retro in 7th.
My boyfriend's significaor is the Sun who is peregrine and conjuct the cusp of the 12th.
The Moon is exalted and dignified by face in the 3rd.

The condition of Saturn suggests I am not in a position to be in a relationship at the moment, compounded by the fact that Neptune i in the 1st. I have been feeling extremely confused about it all - and to boot Neptune is also squaring my natal Sun at the moment which isnt helping!
However, Saturn is in the house of relationships.. and I dont think it means I care more for my boyfriend than he does for me. It could suggest moving back (Saturn retro ) into his house (7th)?

There does seem to be a connection between us as we are in each others signs, added to the fact that the moon moves to trine venus (but then to sqare saturn.) I'm not sure I see much other reception between us,however, though i may be missing it.

His significator is weak too, suggesting that he is not strong enough or has nothing to give the relationship. Does Venus in the 12th point to infidelity?
Any further insight would be much appreciated!
Many thanks

Hi LR,

One of the things that Saturn in the 7th house can do is warn the astrologer to proceed with caution. This is usually taken to mean that the astrologer may be being tricked or deceived by the client but I think it is just as well to keep it in mind when doing our own charts. I think you are possibly right about Saturn being retrograde in the 7th. It could signify that you have gone back to something. But Saturn will eventually turn direct and you will probably move on.

Although there is good reception between the two significators there is no aspect and therefore no action. Reception will tell you how you might feel about each other but without a positive applying aspect it cannot really go anywhere. Sometimes strong reception is able to overcome lack of an aspect between the significators but I don?t believe it to be so in this case.

His significator in the 12th house can mean a number of things. It does not necessarily mean infidelity and neither does Venus in the 12th (although it is a possibility). However, it is the house of secrets so he may be hiding something from you. It could be that he is not telling you how he really feels.

Another thing I noticed is that the square of the Moon (your co-significator) to Saturn will perfect before the trine to Venus. Even though the Moon is closer to Venus than to Saturn at this point, Saturn is retrograding so is actually coming to meet the Moon rather than the Moon following it. It is only by a few minutes really but it hits Saturn first. The previous aspect the Moon made was a trine to the Sun. This seems symbolic of your comment that you are not in a position to be in a relationship at the moment, at least not this one.

Cheers
Sue

Maybe Saturn in detrment might also mean that returning to your boyfried's house was not a good idea... that being there is "detrimental" to you.

Could Venus possibly represent your past flame, whom you met coincidentally, or some other future relationship? Venus rules the 4th house of "roots", could this mean past here? The Moon is approacing trine to Venus and Venus receives her into her domicile - a really positive sign. But the Moon will square Saturn before trining Venus, as Sue pointed out, so maybe this means that you have to sort out your feelings (the Moon) with yourself (Saturn) before moving into a new possible relationship (Venus).

Thanks to both of for your replies. I think it is probably inevitable the relationship will end as I don't feel "right" about things. What I would like to pick up on is what Papretis said about Venus. Do you think Venus refers to another person? Considering it's in the 12th house this could indeed mark my recent infidelity. It certainly fits with what you say about having to work out my own issues before entering into another relationship. The Moon too is very strong here being dignified and in the 3rd. So although Saturn my significator is weak, does that mean that the situation will unfold without too much aggravation? I also wanted to pick up on someone else's insightful point that Venus is almost exactly 150deg inconjunct Saturn - so, if Venus is a person, there are problems relating to each other, or alternatively, I am blind to a certain aspect of the situation?

Many thanks for all your help with this!

If Venus is a person and this person has an inconjunct aspect to you then he does not even acknowledge you. This aspect is not about working anything out. It is not that there are problems to be worked out. It literally means 'turned away from'. If I was interested in someone I would rather have a square or an opposition any day. With the inconjunct (quincunx) his back is turned and he does not even know you are there.

If the event was before the question date then it should show up as a seperating aspect or no aspect. Venus could just be a female who is a secret plotter or a neighbour of your partner. The actual dilemma of yours is signified by Saturn in detriment but retrograde(hiding something or still recalcitrant).

Venus is seperating from Sun, so it shows a female influence on the 7th lord from which he is now seperating.

Psychologically, there could be an element of suspicion and being unfaithful before the other party does that to oneself.Don't forget Neptune is in 1st and it applying to an opposition of Saturn. :???:

So, before you over cook this horary under the influence of neptune, be very clear what is real and what is imaginary. :sg

Thanks for that PD. I didn't quite get what you meant about Neptune/infidelity - do you mean he might be unfaithful? And yes, I am very aware of the strong influence of Neptune upon me at the moment, as it is currently square my natal sun and bringing much confusion into my life!
However, the Moon will trine venus, after squaring saturn, so it seems I will have some contact with the Venus person, and as venus rules the 3rd and 4th in this chart, would likely be a neighbour/friend/past acquaintance. Anyway, who knows!!

Just a thought ,but I find when MY significator is Saturn in the 7th, it means that whatever I think the chart means is probably wrong, that I'm not in a position to read it... and when ever I find neptune in relation to a love interest, it generally means I"m seeing that person as I want to see them (illusion) instead of seeing them for who they are. (be that good or bad, I've occasionally passed up a great relationship with this factor as well as staying in bad relationships too long. Neptune is a pain.)

Okay just some thoughts on re-reading. Granny

What I meant was that either being unfaithful as a defense against being treated that way by the other party, or using it as a justification.

It does happen..

It is a bit off topic, but I have seen that Ascendant -descendnat axis getting reversed if you ask a question yourself and later decide to send a horary to more qualified astrologer, who then draws up the chart on basis of when he/she understands the question . I cannot explain why that happens but could be the subconscious mind deluding itself.

To paraphrase what was said earlier in this thread(granny_skot)-you see what you want to see.
